I put a lesser version of this kind of gun on a light tank and modded it to have the same rate of fire as an M134 minigun. I was able to get up to 300 km/h before running into the wall on the flat sandbox map
Sure it's not russian? Exploding into a fireball in the sky seems to be their area of expertise.
so this gun could take down ANYTHING, like ANYTHING ANYTHING. A sub, armoured car, armoured train, any tank, plane, or airship. Heck, this could easily go though a fortress with super thick armour, and penetrate right though, and out the other side.

Fun fact, The leopard turret is in fact also asymetrical! Look at a diagram of the turret from above and you'll see that the main gun is in fact not in the center line of the turret but just ever so slightly to the right, it's not by a lot but it is noticable. Same with the L7 cannon on the CV90 lol

I THINK, and someone will correct me otherwise if it isn't, that the L is multiplicative of the shell diameter i.e. a 75/L42 denotes a 3150mm barrel length or something to that effect.
Yes, it is the bore diameter, like a 75mm of the 75mm L/42, where the 42 is x, x being the amount you multiply the bore by

The Abrams turrent is alao slanted to one side to get the gunner as close to the centas possible so the off bore sight isn't too much
I didn't know that the turret was asymmetric. I can now never look at the Abrams the same way again. Also "you can always trust the Germans to put a silly gun on things" had me laughing.
Both the leopard 2 and abrams have 1500 horsepower, the challenger, ariete, and t80s have 1200
Arietes are getting fitted a 1500hp engine, new composites and optica since November 2023, the AMV program worked out!

Fun fact, the Panzer III and IV also have their turrets SLIGHTLY offset from the centerline.
If you think the German 130mm is big, both America and France tested 140mm guns on the Abrams and Leclerc respectively, and the Soviets were experimenting with 152mm guns.
Also, a good majority of modern MBTs have 1500hp engines, it's almost a defacto standard across most nations excluding some outliers, but even then they're either going to get 1500hp engines, or went with weaker engines because they operate lighter tanks.
Quick tip: the shells in game when file edited have some sort of inverse proportion, which causes them to reach near infinite penetration at a point.
I have a vehicle firing 12x2416mm, which results in a 201973m/s velocity and over 65 metres of penetration, however 12x2417 breaks the game with NaN penetration. This is easiest to do with small shells (57mm needed to be in the range of 12-13m long to achieve similar penetration values)
The disadvantage of these hyper-velocity projectiles is recoil (12x2416 actually meant I had to attach a trench crossing tail onto my tank so it wouldn’t damage itself when firing)
TL:DR, shell penetration reaches a singularity and you can minmax it to reach relativistic speeds and penetrate entire battleships worth in armour

New viewer, I love your builds! Would you mind sharing some tips and tricks you use? I’ve been trying to learn to make better looking designs, but yours look flat-out stunning.
Energy of projectile is measured in Joules! million joules. The force it creates depend on the time the energy is released, faster means more power and more impulsive force. The force then accelerates your tank in the opposite of the direction the projectile is travelling, divided by your mass, so mass go up, recoil goes down! And the longer the projectile accelerates, the lower the recoil force!(which might a characteristic of railguns)

I challenge you to make a platform that can fire the railgun with little to no recoil, if that is even possible..
For taiga it will always spawn 2 light/Medium tanks on the right and 1 on the left as well as 1 heavy on the right and 2 on the left

Just to make sure everyone snickering about how the Abrams turret is asymmetrical gets their just desserts just about every single tank is asymmetrical. Including basically all MBT's.

Depends, if you mean full kit no. Actually it'd probably go to the M1A2 SEPv3 TUSK, which tops somewhere around like 75-78 tons. I think if we go by base weight, with no applique, ERA, or anything then I do believe you're right that Chally 2 is the king of fat tank.

Funnily enough Rheinmetall switched back from their planned 130mm gun for the KF51 Panther to the 120mm gun used in the current Leopard series. The decision was made due to logistical reasons.

The "L" is how many times the length of the barrel is divided by the diameter of the bore. L55 is as shit like newer tanks, L44 is like late cold war tanks. anything longer than L55 would look like artillery piece.
