Hey, Nick here! This channel started with us traveling across the southern United States during winter of 2018, and has evolved into a new adventure in and of itself.
In 2020, we added a new member to our family, moved to our new home base in Tennessee and embarked on another adventure over the summer. In that adventure, I realized that there was a huge need for a rock-solid internet device, specifically made for those on the go.
When we arrived home in the fall, we began work on what would be our newest adventure - bringing a brand new device to the world that will help people fulfill their dreams of hitting the road and staying 'connected' wherever they are.
To say I'm excited would be an under-statement!
We LOVE to explore this wonderful world our God created, and now with this additional calling, we are super excited to see where the road will lead! This channel will be used chronicle our adventures, show the behind-the-scenes details on our family business, and of course, show you the 'out of the box' things we'll come across in our explorations.

While I didn't use those same cells, I did make a 240AH 12v battery and used the 12v BMS from Overkill Solar. Overkill Solar's customer support is very good and their instructions are very clear...unfortunately, the source I used for my cells wasn't the best so I'm glad to know about another option for battery cells that has a better reputation. Despite that, my battery and their BMS have been working great. One thing you didn't mention in the video is how many Amp Hours are the batteries that you have built?
I'll also look forward to your video on topping off a battery after you put it together and have used it!

We'll be most likely going direct to the tent as soon as we can move into the midway area. See you there!

Leaving that charger on top of the batteries was scary to me. A slight bump could be disastrous. I actually made a plexiglass glass top for my battery just to be safe.

I would recommend Current Connected as they're a US reseller with a real warranty -- when you buy direct from China there's no way to get your money back if they delivered defective or lower-quality cells.

Sean, do you have a link to cells that you recommend?

@@WeCanExploreIt it looks like my reply with links got deleted/hidden (I assume UA-cam did that automatically)
I have the CALB 230ah cells that are available on their website. they come with a 10 year warranty if bought with a BMS

How does the price of this compare to Battle Born batteries? Can you run an AC for about 12 hours on this set-up? Have you considered selling this system?

You have had better luck than me with Aliexpress. I have ordered batteries from them on two different occasions without receiving the goods. They refunded my money but after waiting a couple of months for the non-delivery.

this happened to me as well, which is why I wanted to share the specific link that I used and had a good experience with. In my case, the price was REALLY low - it was honestly too good to be true but I gave it a go. I got refunded as well, which gives me hope that AliExpress will at least stand behind what's on their website.

After looking into different cells from different places, I see that some are CALB (China Aviation Lithium Battery), and some are not certified that way. And then some are grade a, a+, or b.
So, my question is if I went with a grade a or even b with say 3.2v 280ah cells and hooked it up for a 24v battery to start with. Could I then add a 2nd battery later that was "better" quality? Ie: a CALB class A++ that is rated at like 320Ah? Or would all the batteries that are hooked up have to be the same?
I think it's fine, but I am wondering if it would cause any issues.

Good question…. If they have differing capacities I’d be worried about them discharging unequally but I don’t know how much of an issue that is. Maybe the inverter will control that automatically🤷🏻‍♂️
