I think another reason for this is the introduction of the new season system. What once used to be just fun grinding for xp now just feels like doing the same awkward missions every day. It's too monotonous.
Well made video mate, I feel this video as a rich player who purchased every gamepass and grinded almost every day its pretty disappointing especially since trading community is just the whole community.
I always come back for nostalgia each update to see if anything changed, but nothing ever has

As an (maybe a little bit) OG jailbreak player (don't play this game anymore bc my laggy PC and too much grind in JB), all this "car addiction" from developers started from HUGEEE hype that Torpedo made.. Same happened to Pet Simulator, Adopt Me.. Adopt Me was a cool roleplay game back in 2017, but after it got pet hype... (I know it was popular before pets, but now)... Fissy literally changed game type from roleplay to egg hatching, robux spending to flex your cartoon pets and their rarity and how much did they cost.. Same with pet simulator - it was a really good game, but in the end of PS1 history, when the Winter Zone came out with those rare pets.. Community literally gone crazy! In pet simulator 2 they tried to make pet simulator better, but also keep the nostalgia, but pet sim community literally BULLIED the second part of simulator 2 and Preston and his group. I dont know how pet simulator still didn't repeated adopt me or jailbreak history yet (the downfall).. Maybe its because youtubers and money?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!!!!?!??!!?!!?!
Fun Fact: Pet simulator 2 is my favorite pet simulator part. Its isn't P2W and too much grind.. It was an absolutely free game.. In the context of freedom! It didn't had alot of donate (but trades for alot of robux but i dont really care)... The design, the NOSTALGIC ATMOSPHERE! I dont know how big games made new design, and kept the NOSTALGIA! I feel strange feeling when playing ps2, and i can successfully call this feeling Nostalgia.

@@e2d_rblx I agree. Having only 1 type of weapon is boring, only 1 shotgun, only a couple pistols, only 1 rocket launcher, only 3 types of grenades, it would be nice if there were more weapons and more types of weapons, I think a machine gun would be cool, my favorite gun is the MG84.
Plus before the military base revamp when the military base still had a force field surrounding it, it was said there was going to be more alien weapons added into the game besides the force field launcher and lightning gun but it never happened, would be cool if there was more.
I think something that would make the game change forever and make a ton of players want to play the game though is more gun customization, not just the skin of the gun but also the scope, the barrel, the magazine, the grip, the muzzle, and the stock, each customization changing something about the gun such as damage, range, reload, magazine to store more bullets, and accuracy.
I absolutely agree, i was a full try hard jailbreak sweat from 2017 to late 2019, but the game was not being updated enough and too much focus on the things that no one cared for. I have some of the rarest items in the game now from playing so early and managed to get 45M cash at my highest point (not much for some but still more than 99.99% lol) but i do not really enjoy playing and understand why most people just do not stick around or have never come back. I only play for nostalgia really but they have basically made it into a a game where i just drive around in old and rare stuff and leave due to boredom because it is so different. Yes, technically the game is better and more advanced now, but It honestly is the game i probably grew up on (that sounds sad idc), but oh well. Great video!
Back in 2017-2019 I played Jailbreak like crazy, I obtained everything in the game at one point and then I just stopped I loved everything about the game the robberies, vehicles, skins, even apartment items. One day I just didn't care anymore. It was around the beginning of 2020 I think and I just completely stopped playing the game and the only times I'd come on was when there was a new update and I just bought the new vehicle and left I had about 8 million cash (back then was a lot harder to come by in public servers, now it seems to be common) eventually my cash went below a million and I just haven't touched the game ever since. It feels like a different game as you explained and I don't even feel any nostalgia besides the vehicles. One of the things that annoys me the most honestly is trading, I hated the idea of trading and I still do. I remember grinding for the arachnid (bat mobile as people called it back then) and torpedo because they were gonna be exclusive but now anyone can get them through trading. They aren't special anymore and I think that's kinda sad, at least for me the thing that made those special was the thought of them being exclusive/limited but now they took that away with trading for everything. When I saw an exclusive vehicle before trading I knew the person was og and it was cool but now most of the players you find aren't og. It just kinda sucks.
personally, i think what will revive the game and get it's hype back is to do what fortnite did, do an event by bringing back some og stuff (maybe the old map) and make it an event of somesort

as someone who rarely plays and have played since 2017, i do see the old jailbreak nostalgia in the new one but is probably cause the map isnt too different
Yea, this is true I joined jailbreak early 2018 I haven’t felt nostalgia anywhere 2020 was my favourite time for jailbreak unfortunately everyone at jailbreak is toxic I’ve quited 5 times already thanks for the amazing video.
Back in the days (before trading) i had 550 Million cash in the game but i spent it all for trading to get items 😭. Its fine though cuz having cash doesn't really do anything in the game anymore. Like i have nothing to buy with my money i still have a ton of cash rn but i cant use it on anything. :/

One word. "Repetitive." Its literally just robbing and arresting on a huge map with crucial gamepasses
Its obvious why they quit, like its super repetitive. The reason isnt a lack of nostalgia they just got tired of grinding after getting hundreds and hundreds of millions of Jb cash.
@@Dojaesd Badimo could pull a GTAV and add some sort of business income for both cops and criminals alike (Adding selling and raiding/robbing said businesses would be pretty fun too)

@@Dojaesd they could call the robbery/business 'The Factory Robbery' and have them manufacture anything badimo wants with police being able to raid crim-owned businesses and crims able to rob cops' businessses.
While the player themselves does a mini bank truck to deliver their goods/crates to random dropoffs (Around 500-1k per crate, ALL users carry only one at a time (so you have to go back and forth) but max capacity is 6 for a F2P, and grows in increments of 2 per duffel bag level bought.), If the player dies any undelivered stock is forfeited. you can deliver up to 2-3 at a time with a cd to selling of like 3 minutes, to balance it out though each sellable crate takes around the time of 1-2 robbery refreshes to accumilate.
Since we already have hypershift being hard to attain as is they'd probably NOT add a chrome but they could (Per delivery, not crate dropoff.)
a funny vehicle though in replacement for a chrome could be the 'Box-Truck'. Literally an open box with wheels that spawns around factories.
Factory properties meanwhile could cost around 10-20K (Lowballing), and have a few around the map outside rising since that place is packed as is, One in Mountaintown, One near tradeport, and one more in Oil Docks since northwest is empty. Players can only own one factory at a time, with the ability to 'Trade In' their owned factory andrelocate business (You lose all of your stocks in the process though as a tradeoff to moving your stuff for free)
Just wanted to point out that all these cars, although they are very similar in terms of speed, it does add a layer of change to spice up your play style. Sometimes i main the torpedo, and other times i play celsior. The limited vehicles, for me, make the game alot more fun! (Although indeed as i said they are very similar so as a counter point i want to specify that it can get boring quickly because of the lack of uniqness)

adding on to the fact the games ot easy cause i remember i used to play and it was actually hard to get out now theres vents where you can simple get out so its like so easy now vs back then it was actually fun and challenging

As a OG player i believe this is true i havent played this game for 2 years since i played this game on 2017-2019 i use to grind with the rich players, now that i played this game again in 2024 so much changed in Jailbreak i miss the OG jailbreak.
i can't really remember ALL the things on the og times, even i think i bought chrome, because i was like: why is chrome vip, i never purchased vip...
i didn't use my mini cooper so i traded it and i got a shell mark 9 and a lil bird. i came to the trade island and i see that armor is 3m. I HAVE ONE, but... it's a texture i could never trade because it's more like a nostalgia thing for me, i realized that jailbreak has changed so much, every update= CAR, ngl i opened the car spawn thingy and there were like 143 cars, i remember that we had a couple of cars before, like the bugatti (og), mclaren, suv, mini, porshe, classic, lambo and that's it i can remember, but seriously, LOTS OF CARS!? it isn't jailbreak anymore, it's more like: escape of jail and arrest with ur luxury car.
talking about seasons, i thought that torpedo was a new car, but it was a season prize. Cars on every season.

I usually played this game during 2018, 2020-2022 and it changed a lot. I remember I was grinding with my friend all the time but because some content creators like Myusernamesthis stopped making videos, I traded away my celsior for a concept (which I regret now), vehicle remodels, and also my friend stopped playing it. I’d say the best time for jailbreak is during 2020.

As a 2018 roblox jailbreak player I must say that too much skins, vehicles and even some robberies were hard to catch upto after you have a break and return. I quit this game when seasons were introduced and I believe content creators like myusernamesthis, kreekcraft, ved_dev and even straw were the ogs and they had a really big influence so when they changed or quit it just became not fun.
I myself is a og player and the reason why I quit jailbreak is because of the arresting system, like its so easy to arrest now which is ass because it doesn't take skill to arrest anymore and its so annoying
i quit cuz the anticheat banned me for trading with $737M (wasted 3 entire summers) and every vehicle + item (except a few) originally owned

We need new types of robberies. To remove the repeating of the game to make it feel more fun. Like secret quests for special items and if says people earn 100M from THAT robbery alone then everyone gets a new thing or a permant robbery like a subway train
i played since 2017 and i don’t know if i just grew up and moved on but i quit once they added the “CARGO PLANE” robbery.. if anyone sees this can you tell me what they have added in robbery terms after that. i’ve watched videos but just to give my opinion out.

I am kinda of because I play since 2017 and since 2020 actively (losing some accounts) but the cars are so nice but I think we do lack of robberies. It just does has a feeling anymore
instead of focusing so much on cars they should focus on homes it makes the game really fun defending raids and making extra money

I was one of the 2017 players but its all good i like this new jailbreak, except the fact its more on vehicle stuff its like vehicle simulator but with robberies now XD
the old jb style just had a certain feel to it, but now its lost
game is too repetitive and looks almost like a simulator

People need to understand even if they made it back to the og people would play for like 1-2 months its never gonna be the same

I had been playing jailbreak for 5 years when i decided to quit bc the game started to get boring also i had the torpedo and i even got offered the spinner rims for it and the standard 4 brulee and the 1 molten
I used to grind alot with Lia but after i had hit around for say 400 million around ths time Lia hitted 1 billion i js had quit and the account i had was actually terminated a year after
A common error many games are making right now, specifically prison games and combat based games in general, adding AI enemies, they are essentially glorified classic roblox NPCs, they feel odd, and also take away from that game's style, it makes it feel like a totally different game from that single aspect.
Also rich players left because there is no reason to play, if you have 1B like lia you only really need to log on in a update to buy the car, which you can do dirt cheap.
Jailbreak might hit the same issue mad city did, making little updates, and needing to milk live events making them not special, if they take too long on a update they will become mad city 2.0
Jailbreak is only kept alive by it's youtubers, which the more the years progress shrink in quantity.
i use to play jailbreak everyday back in the day and i have every single og car and i quit in 2021 because the game was not like how it use to be back in 2017 and 2018

The criminal base is a bit og. And idk why many people want these revamped and all these cars revamped. Sure the newer ones look good but they should atleast let us switch the models to the old one or the new one. The only og things are also left besides the rising police station and criminal base is the dirt bike, patrol bike, atv and dune buggy

I will say the oil rig is the thing that brought me back for this season I haven’t played since 2019-2020 but if 2024 isn’t of that same quality I might not come back at all
Too many cars release now I’m fine with new times for customization and I love the revamps and robbery’s but there’s too many vehicles

Perma ban people who dupe cars, remove trading from jailbreak, add new robberies.

I left jailbreak a while back, and didn’t play jailbreak until the CEO update came, then the oil rig, those were the last years I had fun with, since yeah, I care a lot about the robberies, and yeah I like the bank truck as the cop. Vehicles..Not really, I just got the Volt and just arrested criminals with over 10k bounties.
i like jail break and also i like cars so i dont mind it i do the grinding and then at least can get some nice cars

Main issue is trading because like 85% of jb players are not even playing main game. Not doing robberies , not grinding money etc , they just freakin T R A D E and thats the main issue of jailbreak

I don't think this was the reason. long ago I heard Lia stopped playing because of college. it could be why most of them quit. at the time, I met bxrdiee, the second richest player. I met her a few times then after that she was never online. must be the same reason but she came back I think this year because she is online quite a bit. it seems like she stopped playing jailbreak but I don't know.

jailbreak itself just fell off. I played jailbreak from 2017-2019, / early 2020. I remember being excited to grind for cash to unlock a new car as thats what basically the game was back then. I like how they updated the city, ui, and things like that but its just overwhelming comparing it to how it used to be. The prison is bigger. They revamped the bank (for the 20th time) they revamped the basically all of the old stores, and nothing that was old stayed relatively how it used to be. The feeling of playing jailbreak and having fun is just not there for me anymore too.
I do hope they can do something good with jailbreak though, as asimo and badcc are very good and talented devs.
