I chose this piece for my Solo and Ensemble piece before even looking at the sheet music. As I was listening to it I was like “I can play that” and when I looked at the sheet music I was like, “Oh… I don’t know if I can play that” got the music today and practiced for a solid two hours, and now I can play the majority of the first page, I surprise myself a little bit because I thought this was going to be more of a challenge than it was, especially at the start. I’m going to be listening to this recording religiously for the next threeish months. I’m a senior in high school and I want to blow the judges away with how good it’ll sound after a few months of practice!!
I love listening to how many things you can do to add contrast, color, dynamic range, and beauty to a piece. You are truly a master, and it is a treat to listen to you. Thank you for sharing!

It was really the lovely last part that seemed the most Hungarian to me, with a passage at 9:00 or so that reminded me strongly of a czardas.
