My math teacher explained it and she made it sound to freakin hard and confusing when in reality it was pretty easy thanks to Khan Academy. Love u guys ❤️
Triangle inequality is really helpful in proof-based analysis courses and it serves for a very basic "My first proof" to do some exercises proving the triangle inequality for all real numbers and all complex numbers.
I'm assuming this works for vectors too. Where the addition of say two non-zero vectors u and v, u+v create this triangle if you will. This is pretty interesting.
Sal explained exactly what he said he would in the title. The name of the theorem that states that the sum of two sides of a triangle must be greater than the third is the triangle inequality theorem. Geez, what do they teach in school these days?
What if one side is equal to the sum of the two sides? Is it still covered in this theorem? For example: a triangle with side measuring 10, 20 and 30 units
Our teacher in math teaches his back and his shoulders, when he wirtes on the board he always just lean on the board and write, I don't undestand a thing!!😖
It's sad how siting in a class for 1 hour wasn't as helpful as a 6 minute video. Thank you so much for helping us.

FullTimeSlacker shut up you’re not helping
@FullTimeSlacker I do but my teacher doesn't explain how to really do it
@FullTimeSlacker found the teachers pet
Very nicely explained, as usual. :)
ChessNetwork Wow. I didn’t expect to see you here.
Hi Jerry, it's everyone.
yup
The fact that I was sitting in class, for about an hour or two, then learning much more here in this 6-minute tutorial video...
not even a minute in and i already understand more than what i understood in an hour and a half period
an❌a✅
Why is it that I have to listen to an hour class to learn something when on here I can learn and understand it better in 5 minutes?
you dont have to with online school........... just saying
My math teacher explained it and she made it sound to freakin hard and confusing when in reality it was pretty easy thanks to Khan Academy. Love u guys ❤️
YEA
thnx man
I’ve never been more lost than in geometry class
exactly! I'm sitting here crying because im trying to understand and this guy literally doesnt help. like what is he doing?
@@mariychile3032 you're just dumb

@@beomsi ok
@@beomsi it's true tho
I could learn more in this video than an hour of virtual class... tysm

University lecturer spends 40 mins giving an ''explanation'' of this theorem, Sal does it in 5 mins... AND makes it sound logical..
Sal Sir! You are a genius! Thanks alot
i just got into 10th grade, this helps a lot!
Triangles make me happy.
the difference between the 2 lines is x. and adding them gives x too, so you get a range of x values.
Straight to the point as usual thank you
I went through your video like a hot knife through butter.
Ugh! the best explanation I've heard
😭😭😭😭THANK YOU FOR EXISTING
Tysm for this you don’t know how much I needed this 😭!! You explain this better than my own math teacher!
yea i kinda wishhe was mymath teacher but mine is good tobuthe still better!!
Amazing lecture, If I spend 1 hour here on khan academy, no doubt Ill finished 1 chapter of Mathematics.
No doubt

thank you for this, now i can finish my homework yeahay

Thank you!! I understand!
In a non-degenerate triangle ABC with c > a and c > b
|a+b| > c > |a-b|
The curriculum we use in my school made this concept soooo confusing 😩😩
I get the basic idea .Thank you sir
I can feel the applications this has in algebraic inequalities.
Cool :)
Really good explanation. I'm falling in love with Math C:
my ocd and these triangles boiii, but it helped a lot though, thanks
So good! Thank you again!!!

Very easy explanation with in 6 minutes
the teachers reading ur comments: 👁👄👁
this helped so much
nicely explained as usual , salute
It is quite sad that in a 2 hour class I cannot learn what a 6 minute video teaches me.
@Trevor Chadwick I K R , attempting to farm likes lol
Excellent👍
love these videos .Nice work
amazingly explained
How did this come out TOMORROW?!
Idk how you guys learn anything by watching this I learn better in class than watching this

loves these videos! :)
wow really good explanation. thanks :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

I’d really like to learn something with 2 pro numerals such as 5, x, x-2

The title can be changed to "Limits of slider-crank mechanism".
This is fantastic!

what program do u use to write???
InLumeaFizicii somebody answered u already, on a separate comment, but he uses a pad and a pen.
thx for teaching
Is the Triangle Inequality Theorem the same as The Pythagorean Inequality Theorem?
Amazing
Why does Khan doesnt own a novel prize?
This is inequality, what were you hoping for?
Pythagoras theorem :D
Still watching in 2024 😂
Ugh I have a test tomorrow and I don’t get anything :(
I feel you, but I will fail anyway since algebra is a Brain Killer.

Maaaaaaan, let a degenerate triangle try to pull up on me he finna get the smoke.
do you do all this with a mouse?
Holy crap.
He's using some app on iPad with that brush “probably”
Because he hasn't written any novels :P
okay, so Sal misspelled something. Give the guy a break.
