An old Ukrainian Christmas carol "New Joy of the World Has Appeared" performed by "Dudaryk" (2009)
The text of the carol:
A new joy to the world has appeared:
The Virgin has given birth to her Son!
It is very early in the morning in the city of Bethlehem,
The shepherds were told to expect the Lord.
The star performed this service:
The kings of Persia were brought to Him.
They brought Him Lebanon, myrrh, and gold,
And they took the wages of heaven.
The wicked Herod was grieved at this,
That the eternal King was born.
He told the soldiers to search everywhere,
To hide the two-year-old virgins in a stump.
Joseph, an old man, caught Mary
And flees to Egypt with Christ,
May Herod perish forever,
Our newborn King comforts us all.
We rejoice in Him today,
We will worship His birth in lowly praise.
May He grant us a happy life,
And after death to reign with Him in heaven.

Новая радість сьвіту ся з’явила:
Пречиста Діва Сина породила!
Во Вифлеємі місті дуже рано,
Витати Пана пастирям казано.
Зьвізда услугу тую відправляла:
Царів персійских к Нему проводжала.
Принесли Єму Ливан, миро, злато,
Взяли заплату небесною за то.
Ірод лукавий з того засмутився,
Що Цар предвічний на сьвіт народився.
Казав жовнірам по всюду шукати,
В пень отрочата дволітні стинати...
Йосиф старець, Марію піймає

А по смерти з Ним в небі царствувати.
