The Alchemist is perhaps the most tragic character in the series. He never became evil, willingly.
He was possessed by a Dark One and was consumed and his body became vessel to the evil that’s left
With all the evil Skeleton King Caused, it’s sad to remember the Alchemist wasn’t to blame and may never had a chance at Redemption as the series ended before there was a chance
And yet at same time he’s the source of Good the Series, as he created the Hyperforce and may have a hand in Chiro becoming a hero
