I really hope they bring the Jetfish to the USA. I am partial to Yamaha after seeing too many issues with the rotax on snowmobiles. Cost to kit out the fxho separately are a little ridiculous
I’ve had a really good run with both FXHOs in terms of reliability. I agree, if Yamaha did a serious fishing unit in the US they would increase sales. I’ve heard they see the target fishing market there as blokes that want to ride fast and pull up on a sandbar and to fish from there. That’s NOT the fishing market! There’s always some areas for improvement in design, but for engine and electronics reliability, they’ve been rock solid for me.
@@Jetcast their definitely missing out on a sale from me. Id be offshore, inshore, trolling, bottom bouncing and fishing the jetties. I know yamaha makes reliable products and i hear they are pretty stable in the chop as well. Will say, the Linq system on the doo is really quite a draw. That feature alone can sway a lot of opinions
@@williamlutsch4259 yes, 90% of my fishing friends went to the Fish Pro as it was a package that allows them to go where I go and do much the same things. There's quite a few accessories now available to make suit the more serious fishos too.
@@Jetcast thanks for the replies. Im headed to Florida from Colorado in a lil over a year. I will be sourcing a few parts from your shop. As long as we can get them shipped over. Been clearing house and all camping/fishing/outdoor gear that was suited for the mountains. Will practically pay for a decent ski at that time
@@williamlutsch4259 thanks for your support. I've shipped products to quite a few people in the US, mostly in Texas and Florida. Sounds like a huge move from the mountains. to the sea! Good luck!
Yes similar. The one in the video is definitely is a Spanish Mackerel in these waters (Australia). The Spanish Mackerel in the US is a different species. The scientific name for our locals is Scomberomorus commerson, while the “King” found in the Atlantic are Scomberomorus cavalla. Scomberomorus maculatus is the US “Spanish” which are similar to our Spotted Mackerel! The local Spanish here have a common name of “Narrow Barred” Mackerel, so definitely no spots like your “Spanish”! :)
Cheers Mark. Very difficult to get out this year. It might be another 2-3 weeks before I can go out again due to crappy weather coming up. Maybe the sharks will have moved on by the time I get back out!
