    I love the idea of putting all the materials you need for each lesson in a gallon sized bag. That is a great idea.

    I love the way you organize. I take it day by day and then I forget things and the lessons doesn't happen. You inspire me .

    I’ve done that too with certain activities 😱 glad I’m not the only one! Ohhh I love that you’ll be working in public speaking. My kids were getting that through CC and I loved watching them gain confidence over the year

      That is something I think is great about CC. Is it so important to feel comfortable and be able to speak in front of others.

    So exciting! Being organized I’d half the battle sometimes. Totally guilty of not looking ahead so skipping the extras.

    This was super helpful. I definitely need to do this. I too, get lazy and start skipping things that I know my son would love. If I had it all ready to go I would be much more likely to do it.

      Also the comment about your son being passionate while playing on his occulus cracked me up. Same here with my son 😆

    Can you tell us what all is in the first bag? L1d2? Would like to know

    • @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife

      In the Lesson one bag, I put materials in there for any demonstration or hands on activity. There is a discussion about molecules in cold and hot air. In the reading in gives an example of people sitting on a couch. I used a play couch we had and Lego people just to make it a little more fun. You totally don’t have to do that. The rest of the materials are balloons, string, etc. You really don’t need a lot.

    Ashley now that you’ve done several units….. please tell me…. Do you print a copy for you and a copy for your son? Do you only print advanced or advanced and growing? Also do you still recommend binding the core connections separately or should they be mixed in with the guide?

    • @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife
      @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife  Рік тому

      I print only one copy. For this unit, I printed the growing guidebook, but usually print the advanced copy. As far as the core connections, I have done it both ways. Right now, we are using the Titanic unit and I have them placed after each lesson. Personally, I like them separate.

    • @MsRxChick
      @MsRxChick Рік тому

      @@HomeSweetHomeschoolLife can I ask why you like them separate?

    • @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife
      @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife  Рік тому +1

      @@MsRxChick it really just depends on my mood. I have used them both ways. When I have them departed, I don’t feel like I have to do them with each lesson. We can get to them whenever we can.

    I'm new, how old is your son? How do these units compare to TGATB if you have used them? I looked at the site and I like all the different studies they have, but is it parent intensive with all the prep works?

    • @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife
      @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife  2 роки тому +1

      My son is 13. The Campfire units cover multiple subjects, where TG&TB are Science. I have some flip throughs on my channel if you would like to see inside some of the units.
      These units do not require a lot of prep. I like to look through them to check out the hands on activities so I can gather materials.
      These units are very flexible and can be used in a variety of ways. Let me know if you have any more questions.

      @@HomeSweetHomeschoolLife Oh, great. Your son is the same age as my oldest. He's doing 8th grade this year. Thanks for the info! I appreciate that.
