I really thought this was gonna be my new camera backpack but you said something at 04:34 that now excludes it from my list of possibilities. I fly a lot and one thing I just realized that I do with my two current camera backpacks is that there is an upper zippable storage area that can be easily accessed. The flap on this bag BLOCKS that upper storage area. This is crucial in that when my backpack is stored underneath the seat in front of me while flying, I can't just reach down to open that upper storage area to grab whatever it is I need (headphones, snacks, cables/charger, etc.). I'll have to slide the ENTIRE bag out and lift it up to undo the straps and fold over the flap just to access that top compartment. This is definitely a dealbreaker for me. I had it in my cart and ready to buy already, I'm glad I came across your video.
You're completely right, it's exactly what I have to do every time. I also thought about it first as a down side, but considering the amount of time the bag is in such situation (below the seat) or just on my back, I started feeling the protection this gives when I'm going around is very comforting. The way I do it now is that before flying I get headphones out, and these small necessities I put in the pocket in front of the bag. If you see in the video, there's this frontal pocket, that doesn't get completely covered by the flap, so all you need to do is slide the bag out a bit and you can get stuff from it. Thanks for commenting your opinion, it's great for people checking this out to understand if it suits them :D
I think you sold me on this backpack for our upcoming trip to Alaska! I've been worried about camera+gear storage with my current backpack (not a camera backpack, just a regular school-style backpack), but I think the few things I was considering leaving home would fit comfortably in here. Thanks for the review!
Ah definitely you'll feel much better having a dedicated bag to protect the gear, and this really looks like a normal one, so when you use in the city it doesn't call attention as a camera bag. It's not perfect, like I show in the video, but I'm still using it everyday and it's great for carrying photo gear during such missions, or more daily use now I'm carrying the notebook, headphones, external disk and clothes for the gym. Pretty versatile :)
I'm wondering if the base of the top pocket can be removed or changed. I'm thinking of using it as an artist en plein air backpack. Wondering where long brushes might go.
Hmmm horizontally it will be tight then for them, it has roughly 30cm, but if some are bigger you'd have to stack them vertically inside by removing this division !
In size it seems a lot like the Zhyiun Crane, so I'd say probably yes, but it's better if you get the specific dimensions from their website to be sure :)
Just tried it to help answer your question, and yes, but it's a bit tight, the bottle i tried was like 20cm tall, so a bit chubby, if you have a longer thermo for example it will be a more relaxed fit !
I think yes, in the description it says up to 15.6, but as you can see in the video, it has this tab that folds over with velcro, maybe that won't close, but the notebook can't fly away. Depends also on how chubby yours is !
I’ve been trying to find a Backpack that can fit some of my college notebooks, my Camara, maybe about 2 lenses and my 15.6 inch laptop. Anyone has any idea of any backpack that can help me out :( Most I can find seem to fit the camera and laptop, but they don’t seem to have space for any notebook 😭
If anyone can help our friend here would be super appreciated ! I don't know one with good space for that really... The front part or top on this one can fit a small notebook, but you're talking about a bigger one the size of a computer notebook ? In that case I sincerely don't think it's the most practical no... specially hard cover...
That would be a nice touch also, like a matte black would be pretty cool! This model is the Black + Grey, so I don't mind the hooks that way, maybe for the full black one, it would be very cool to see it literally full black. K&F is checking out the comments and really listening to customers, it's good to feedback this kind of stuff to them.

is macbook 16inch fit in this bag?

Hi !! How long are they ? Would they fit horizontally on the upper part maybe ?
Some are 30cm or a bit more
Thx.

Would the top fit an RS mini 3?

Could this fit a large 32 oz water bottle in the bottle holder?

@@FlyEnri Thanks! I appreciate it!

Nice bag, I wish the buckle/hooks were black instead of bright silver.
