Why would Bobbie ask Ann Miller if she felt intimidated dancing with Fred Astaire? Ann Miller was Fred's equal in the dance department. And actually Ann held the record for the most taps per minute...not Fred Astaire.
Amazing how interviewers (people in general) don't listen. Ann Miller said she had lost her mother two years ago, and then just recently her aunt, and then the woman says, "These must be great years for you."; because she has no family left? At least acknowledge what she said, and then move on. No wonder stars don't like the press.
There’s another interview with Ann Miller here on UA-cam where she talks about her alcoholic husband tripping her down the stairs which unfortunately led to the death of her daughter, and the interviewer doesn’t even acknowledge what she said and goes straight into talking about her career. It’s like are you an idiot, acknowledge what she just let you in on!
I agree with you on that point. But Bobbie is so pressed for time that she really does not have time to explore details in her interviews. That was something someone like Dick Cavett had time for. @@countdownda
Sometimes I wonder about Bobbie's questions. For example, why would Bobbie ask Ann Miller if she felt intimidated dancing with Fred Astaire? Ann Miller is Fred's equal in the dance department and after all Ann Miller held the record for the most taps per minute....not Fred Astaire.
I love Ann Miller. Period. But more than that, I love how quickly and how candidly - yet how carefully - she answers each question. She is very careful about how she compares her show to the Carol Channing show. I saw both versions and, like Miller says, the Channing version had, unfortunately, very little to do with the Rooney/Miller show.
Classy lady - is honest yet never delights in being mean even for a laugh. Everything is a blessing even the hard things in life . That’s the way she decided to view it and she’s a happy Lady because of it.
bobbie wygant, passed 2024, rest in peace.
Wonderful interview Bobbie! Ann Miller was so talented and really an American treasure.
Always so very generous with her talent and kindness. Everyone loved her.
Great interview. Thanks for upload. 👌🌟
This is great. So wish I could have seen this play.
RIP Madame Bobbie Wygant, may you rest amongst the greatest win that big screen up on the sky. 🙏
Such a talented and lovely person.
what an adorable lady!
A class act in the way she acted and dressed. Today actors don’t have the class or dress you saw from the movie stars of that time .

@@countdownda Howard Stern should have interviewed Ann Miller. Howard would press for details and more details for every answer that is given.

Indeed, the 'new and improved' Howard has evolved to be a truly good interviewer.
