We went on the wonder 3 years ago with just me and my husband the adult areas were great and very quiet! In March of 2018 my girls will be going with us to experience the Disney dream :) We are doing 2 days at Disney before the cruise and 2 days after :)
Unicorn Emily (sorry for responding late) the Magic is AMAZING!! It’s so small and cozy and you can feel the classics of Disney Cruise on it!!!! I love her SOOOOOOOOO much!!!!! I love how she gives you a homey feeling and you never want to leave.
I was on this cruise! I saw the date and I was was like What! I'm in Alaska right now on a seven night cruise and it is so fun there is so much stuff for kids and adults! I suggest it!! This is the first cruise not going to the Caribbean, it's my 7th cruise!
Did you go on another cruise 6 months ago too? I keep seeing your videos at all different times in my feed lol.. we're going to Disney World in 3 weeks and the cruise next trip!!!
+Heavenly Girl A little chilly but still warm enough to swim. We went snorkeling for a bit and it was warm enough to do that for 30 minutes or so before we came in 😊
beingmommywithstyle Good to know! We are going on the Fantasy on March 2018 so I was wondering about the weather. Thanks for your reply and for the information. :)
Those are their fireworks headphones that we use to reduce noise, when the alarm starts going off as you have to move to the muster stations for the drill, it is REALLY loud. It doesn't last super long, but we brought them this time just in case. :)
I nanny and to get the children ready for the drill we practice at home by playing the announcement and sounds, then practiced following me or their parents. Also, I explained how the passengers, crew, and their parents might be talking about and it will be loud. After each drill at home an the one on the ship they got a special magnet for their cruise ship door. I reinforced the concept to stick with parents like the magnet sticks to the door. The several families I have done this for said it was successful training and enjoyed celebrating after the ship's safety drill by decorating the door with the magnets they earned!
I just booked our first Disney cruise vacation!! Yay!! But 2 questions does everyone decorate their doors if so where do you get the magnets and also the girls wearing the ear headphones, is that something you learned you should get because of noise? My son hates the sound of fireworks so I'm thinking maybe I should get them
Yay!! You will have an amazing time!! Not everyone choses to decorate their doors, but I will say that it makes finding your door a lot easier, lol!! You can do everything from make homemade ones (the Mickey icon ones I made at home), purchase from Etsy (search "Disney Cruise magnet" or something similar), or they event sell them in the stores on the ship/Disney Parks App too! The "Captain's Quarters" magnets were official Disney magnets I got off the Parks App! And as far as the headphones, they are noise reduction headphones and we primarily use them for fireworks. When Natalie had her first set of ear tubes put in, I was worried about her sensitivity to loud noises and she did seem to be more sensitive with that first set. Now they are just not the biggest fans of loud noises... Bella actually being the least fan, she still wears them for fireworks. The drill loud horn isn't that long, it is just really LOUD, and it made them out of sorts for a bit on the last one - so we brought our headphones and they did seem to help... Although Natlaie was still, Natalie... while we are supposed to be standing in straight lines, lol. ;) I do recommend the noise reduction headphones for fireworks though, we got them from Amazon and they are "Snug" brand, I think were $10-$12.
I'm curious, now that you've been on the Dream and the Wonder, which one you prefer! I know the Dream is bigger, but from what i've seen of the Wonder it looks equally as amazing! Can't wait to hear your thoughts! :)
I really like them both for different reasons, I want to go on the Disney Dream again because I never got to try the Aqua Duck, lol!! I really liked the Disney Wonder though!! It was cool because the ships felt similar, and I never felt like there was less to do because of the size difference, it was actually nice to feel like everything was fairly close together and easy to get to on the Disney Wonder! ♥
The Aqua Duck is awesome! Just gotta find the right time to try it, when there aren't a million people in line haha. But that's neat to hear - I found the layout of the Dream to be a touch confusing, the deck where the atrium is is super long and it felt like forever walking from Animator's Palate towards the theatres! I'll have to look into trying the Wonder in the future :)
They are Monkeys and Cupcakes on Facebook & Etsy! 😄 Lori is awesome to work with, we have gotten a ton of customs from her! She gave me a coupon code - MommyStyle10 for anyone that watches my videos to use, for 10%off customs from her. Hope that helps!
This is the last ship we need to do to have he DCL grand slam...anywho, also a mom of two girls I need to know where you got those dresses. I am sorry if this question was asked when you did your last cruise. Looking at doing the New York sailing this fall
If you dont mind me asking, do you know about how much money you spent for this trip? the fam and i are looking into this but its about $7,000 dollars which seems ridiculous to me!
In the summer i've noticied the price for a ticket is about a 1000 per person. However i've gone in winter (not holiday) and they're much cheaper because everyone is busy. I found them all the way down to 300 per person. However it was not a disney one.
Pamela Willett-Kinsella nope you don't. I've been on many many many Disney cruises or just cruises in general and it isn't bad at all. If you do get sick.. there is a patch you can wear behind you ear that completely prevents it.
I've only cruised on Disney Cruise Line, so I can't compare to other lines - but I didn't feel movement during the day when we would be moving, the only time I could feel it was when I would be laying in bed at night. In fact a few times on the first cruise, it was surreal because I would walk past a porthole in late afternoon and be like, "Oh! We're moving!", lol... I didn't realize we had started moving. At night, it seemed more noticeable, I'm guessing because we had picked up speed or possibly because of weather. One night on the Dream we did have a small thunderstorm. It didn't bother me, but my husband does get extreme motion sickness, even car or airplane - so we were concerned before our first cruise. He tried the patch, but it didn't work 100% of the time, he had to take it off and start taking Bonine on the Dream cruise - so he switched to taking Bonine preventatively on this cruise and that worked perfectly! I also took Bonine preventatively on both cruises and the kid's took Kid's Dramamine preventiatvely and we didn't have any issues. I would recommend a cabin in midship to feel less movement. I do feel like our Aft cabin we could feel a bit more than when we were midship.
We don't have any plans to, but then again at this time last year I didn't even know we would be going on any cruise last year at all! So never say never!! ;)
They have tons on Etsy, just search "Disney Door Magnet" and some should come up! We also ordered the Captain Mickey ones from the Disney Parks app - they have a Mickey, Pirate, and Princess versions! I was going to get the Princess ones, but they were sold out when I needed to order to get them in time for our trip, so we got Mickey instead! :)
Oh, and this was the trip that I was on the ship for a conference - so I had conference activities that I was going to separate from them part of the time.
I found this video by accident but I'm loving your vlogging!
Thanks for watching! I have some recent videos from the Disney Dream in February 2020 too! All the best!
I'm watching this with two more weeks until my cruise on the fantasy!

So excited for your upcoming videos! Bella and Natalie are so cute! Hope you guys had an awesome time:)
Thanks so much!! ♥ We had an amazing time!! :)
Was there any templates you used to make your own door magnets?
Do you recommend staying in a hotel the night before embarkation? Do you use the Disney air recommendation or find your own flights???

Everyone doesn't decorate their doors but I defiantly recommend it it's a cute thing to do for your door
Also I recommend the fish extender

Quick question: Where did you order the magnets from? I can't find them anywhere.
Ariel Gavin etsy has a ton....just search disney cruise door magnet.
They have tons on Etsy, just search "Disney Door Magnet" and some should come up! Ariel Gavin search etsy I did that

Why do your kids have to wear headphones? Are they sensitive to noises?
Why did you go to lunch without the kids
They had lunch at the kid's club. :)
Oh, and this was the trip that I was on the ship for a conference - so I had conference activities that I was going to separate from them part of the time.
