not only video, its a poetry. close to Turnov (gate of "czech paradise") is Hrubý Rohozec, there is castle and on the otherside of the village is small brewery with very good beers, I could recomend the dark one.
Wow what a kind comment, thank you so much! I've been to Cesky Raj before but not the area you mention so Hrubý Rohozec has now been added to the list! Thank you for the tip Helca!
GOLDEN NECTAR! NIIIICE! ;) Paul, your videos are just sooo relaxing, i actually watch them daily after work to relax....keep them coming! Ceskij Raj next! (Hruba Skala, Dolni Bousov, Jicin, Turnov)...
It is really a long time since your last video here. I would not like to walk more than 20 km like you but I definitelly like the spirit or poetry or how to express it of your walks and of your observations. I would like to see another one soon. Or maybe some new experiences from beer pubs :-).
I'd really like to pick your brain a bit at some point about Prague. I'm looking at spending at least a month to who knows how long and plan to rent a place and just enjoy as much of it as I can. Interested in the history, the city, outdoors, pubs, the girls, the music and the food I want to do it the right way.
My head was being crammed with all the awful stories of vaccine wars, political corruption, illnesses and deaths when up popped your comment and Paul’s beautiful soothing video. I hope Paul will be able to resume filming soon
Matey at 0:16 is having none of that "gentleman never drinks before noon" bullshit. Also, the snake is actually a leg less lizard, slow worm, or slepýš in czech. Cracking walk again.
Hi Paul. Thanks for this video. CSECH is really beautiful. We enjoy all the videos. Our country is just as beautiful but not that safe. We went on a cycling trip last week on Dawie's birthday. It was lovely but it was on a private farm called Rosemary hill. It is safe there and we enjoyed it so much. Can't wait to get to Prague! Greetings from SA.
Hey Marlene! So glad you are still enjoying all the videos and happy you had a nice cycling trip - belated Happy Birthday Dawie! Thanks so much for the comment :)
I like this so much, great videography, I especially liked the bus trip. 😄 I climbed the observation tower with my Czech husband and his parents. Will be back for the entire fall season, so this was a great precursor to my return. Edit: In further watching of your video, I realize you're in the village of my parents-in-law! Their favorite hospoda is U Kozla in Malé Kyšice! Wow, it feels very familiar yet surreal to see a UA-camr in these humble parts outside of the city.
Wow, that's great! Your parents in law are so lucky to live somewhere with so much amazing nature on their doorstep! Thank you so much for the comment :)
Thank you for another well done video! Interestingly enough, i served in military (when it was mandatory) in town of Unhošť, respectively few kilometeres away in barracks called Čeperka (named after some settlement or hill, not sure). in Malé Kyšice was nearest pub if i am not mistaken. so "vocables" as Nouzov, Malé Kyšice, Čeperka and others are so familiar to me to these days, although it is almost 30 years now...
Wow, I bet you have some interesting stories from those times? Thank you so much for the video, I'm really glad you enjoyed it and thank you for the comment :)
@@paulcolto maybe :-) but honestly everything is overrided just with that nineties feeling and memories that i was "young, smart and beautiful" and also naive and optimistic etc. :-)
Hi Paul, I noticed that you are fond of Tatranky ;) I highly suggest you that you try Slovak Tatranky with the brand "Sedita". They can be easily bought in Czechia and they're much better - not so sweet and "chemical"...
Awesome tip - thank you so much, I will definitely try it! It's funny because I grew up in UK and so Tatranka for me is great because it's less sweet and chemical than a lot of UK chocolate so trying Sedita is like the next step on a journey to recondition my palette to something a little more natural! Thanks for your comment Vlad :)
Hi Paul, Sir_Mac here, as always! I am sorry for my late reaction, but I spent a lovely week on my cottage / summer residence at Rakovník area, and I had no internet... Paul, I have two things on my mind. The first one: I think you are the best "promoter" of the Czech republic. Your videos speak themselves and it is calm peaceful form of advertisement, not like the other videos, which are aggresive and mentally violent. The second one: I really appreciate your czech pronunciation and your care about czech special letters. I know some names must be almost tongue twisters for you, but you do care and pronounce it as locals do. And last thing is for two of us, the inhabitants of Prague 10, the tram track between Průběžná and Vozovna Strašnice is re-constructed and operational since yesterday [Saturday, 29th August].
I can imagine you had a perfect week at the cottage - great to hear! Thanks so much for your kind words and continued support - it really means a lot. Yes, I went to see the new Starostrasnicka yesterday morning! It's nice to have the sedmicka and 26 back :)
Czech nature is glorious!
We need more hike videos Paul!
Another great video! That snake is called slepýš (Anguis fragilis) and fun fact it actually is not a snake but a legless lizard :)
Super! Thanks so much for the info Marek!
All my days. Sitting here in the UK at Xmas 2021 just wishing we were there. Great vid. My Czech wife is almost as keen as i am to get back there.

3:33 Tatranky was waiting for its biggest fan! :D Beautiful trip. I love how you enjoy our landscape.
Oh man, that really means a lot, thanks so much Josef! I have really been enjoying your Tweets!

Glad you enjoyed the video and your time in the Czech Republic! Thanks for the comment :)

Nice video Paul! This area around Lodenice brook is my childhood :-). These old mills, forests and the brook.
You were lucky to grow up there! I hope this brings back some nice memories :) Thanks very much for your comment .

Are you walking by yourself?
You’re never alone with Tatranky
