Had mine 2 days now im Speechless, this item was thought out perfectly👌🏽. What cant you do This truly speeds up and changes. The way you approach composing for me as a TV and film composer. The UF1 is a Desert island take Well done SSL💯 I already own the TC Clarity M I Run out of my Apollo SPDIF Out to the unit but its still Good to also have it on the UF1 you can dail up a lot more on the TC but at that point its just pick your Luxury.

…and hopefully SSL will add more features to the metering plug-in similar to the Clarity too. I’m pretty sure they’re working on it. 🙏🏾

It’s a 43 inch 4k monitor.
They’re not that expensive nowadays.
Looking forward to adding one to complete my UF8, UC1, and 360 setup along with the SSL 12, it would be great if SSL figured out a way to incorporate SSL Big Six into the SSL 360 Ecosystem since it is also an interface.
Yeah that is true.
Hopefully that will be a thing they come up with in future…I wouldn’t put it past them.
I got some strip wood and used 3mm M bolts to use as stilts for the stands. The units are just facing straight as me now like I’m looking for above almost.

Nice Video! I have a UF8+UC1+UF8-Setup as well. One thing I don‘t understand so far is whether the UF1 is able to always show the track that is selected in the DAW as the UC1 meanwhile can. Do you know that?
Yes Sir I got you…
You’ll need to hold down the 360 button on the UF1 and then press “Plug-in Mixer” button on the top. Now the UF1 will follow any track selected.
This works for me inside Ableton Live.

I have the same SSL setup. I love it. The 4KB channel strip 2 and meter plugins really tie the system together as a full desk with the hardware. SSL should make a larger interface like the presonus studio 1810 with 9K preamps now that would be nice.
Yep I agree. They must be thinking in those lines though cause it only makes since.

By the way what is that additional screen that you have under your main monitor?
That would be an iPad Pro in “side car’ mode (an additional screen). I’ll have my plug-ins pop up there sometimes instead of on top of my tracks when working.

Great system, I have the UC1, UF1 and UF8 from (R) to (L). I could get one more UF8 but i am a little short room. Firmware
1.5 is really good. All three units are so deep in what they can do. Nothing out, can compare.

This is definitely the way future studios will be headed, no question. And this is coming from someone who started off with a whole bunch of gear....It's amazing! ✌🏾
Just got all three (UF8/UC1/UF1) can I use the USB Thru on them to connect them to each other and have just one USB cable going to my computer?
Yeah I have the same issue…I can’t use the “Thru” feature. The documentation says something about depending on your set up, you might not be able to go through more than one device and might have to use a hub. I have two dock/hubs that work perfectly with my set up (but you’ll only need one with the three devices). I recommend the OWC Thunderbolt Doc and/or the Caldigit Thunderbolt 4 Element Hub. Both are Thunderbolt 4 (Future proofing).
FYI…I only have 1 cable connected to my Mac.
@@mercmixx Yeah I have a good USB-Hub, just thought is would be more efficient to have only one USB cable going to the computer via hub.

I just happened to have those 2 for the studio so they were already on deck and I wasn’t caught off guard and had to order them.👍🏾
He I wanted to apologize to you because I thought your original message read “I CAN’T use the USB thru” instead of you asking can you. My reply still stands though so we’re all good. I really wish we could daisy chain all of them together.
@@mercmixx Ok no problem. So I was able to connect the UF8 to the USB-Thru of the UF1 and connect the UF1 directly to my computer and it's working flawlessly. The UC1 is connected to my HUB and also works great. Looking forward to really learning them all. This is a major upgrade as I was using the Console 1 with a ICON Platform M+, and it worked well for the past 4 years. But this is a whole new level of mixing, "no looking at the screen and much less "MOUSE" usage.

Yes my friend and I’m loving them so far.
FYI, I originally owned the Console One system and a different audio interface and switched over because they all talk to each other through the 360 software (which is awesome).
I had to replace the previous audio interface because it wasn’t a good impedance match with my Audeze LCD-X’s head phones which is very important…so important that I’ll never buy another set of headphones without making sure it’ll be compatible with the interface or the audio interface would be able to adjust to low and hi impedance headphones like the SSL 12.
Once I figured out what the problem was and changed the interface, the sound took off…Maybe I’ll make a video about it.✌🏾
wtf you have us looking at a feature list while you worked in the background only to tell us you will show us more stuff next time.. could have just cut all of that and said that right after the unboxing that was rude af..
