    Battery is critical, often overlooked.
Before doing anything, check the trickle voltage to the battery, that's what keeps it charged between runs. Should be over 13v generally. If not, battery isn't getting charged to start the unit when needed.
I've changed the standard clamp leads to marine grade terminals, cables are attached with lug ends, then sprayed with NOCO anti corrosion spray.
When the unit is running, battery voltage should be over 14v, and yes battery should have full cell levels of distilled water.
If you disconnect battery, Generac procedure is to remove 7.5 amp fuse at control unit, then disconnect white charge wire above the battery. After reconnecting battery, reconnect charge wire and insert 7.5 amp fuse. Then check all trickle and run voltages.
May all sound like overkill, but the worst time to find out battery issues is when you lose primary power......

One tip, running the engine up to temperature before draining the oil will help with drain it faster/completely. Good diy video!

Yes, I never change my oil cold. It always has to be full temperature.

good video. change the setting on your camera so you are oriented properly. That way you are removing your filter instead of tightening it :)

What about in between the annual service? We had ours run for 6 days after Beryl.

If you go through a long run between maintenance, that’s actually a good thing. That heats everything up to remove any condensation a that’s built up. It is recommended that you shut down every 72 hours (3 days) to check oil and let it cool.

Change the oil every year or 200 hours of runtime, whichever occurs first.

Did you do a valve gap adjusting?

The corrosion you see on the battery terminal, cost me $300 for a service call to my rental cabin. The Guy cleaned the terminals. That was expensive 10 minutes. I will put in a new AGM Group 35 4year battery, best price Walmart.

You probably have a dealer maintenance menu. Its kind of long but here goes:
      Escape - Main Menu
      Up - Sub Menu Flashes
      Up - Battery Flashes
Escape - Back to Main Menu
      Down - Sub Menu Flashes
      Up - Battery Flashes
Escape - Back to Main Menu
      Up - Date/Time Flashes
      Enter - Date/Time Menu
Escape - Main Menu - System Flashes
      Up - Sub Menu Flashes
      Enter - History Flashes
      Up - Dealer Flashes
      Enter - Dealer Menu
      Up - Test Flashes
      Up - Dealer Edit Flashes
      Enter - Dealer Edit Menu
      Up - Reset Maintenance
      Enter - Reset Maintenance Menu
Down - Changes "No" to "Yes"
      Enter - Maintenance Reset
Escape until back to main menu and you should be good.

A little confusing since you videotaped a reverse image. Otherwise, pretty good explanation. I’m trying to avoid the $180.00 bill I got a couple of years ago last time I got '"maintenance".
