I am glad to have one such Doubletop from 2009. It sounds beautifully and - by the way - nearly identical with a Felix Müller from 2024. But I also have 2 Single Top Classical Guitars and 1 Steelstring-Guitar of Aloisius Müller, which have also a very good sound. I have accompanied his develeopment since about 20 years, which was rather interesting.
La verdad es que se percibe una uniformidad tímbrica entre cuerdas sorprendente y lo que comentas en cuanto al sustain en el registro sobreagudo es notorio. Me encantan esas cualidades.
The higher notes that luck sustain are the wolf notes. Pretty common to high-end instruments with thin tops. But few luthiers bother to fix them by removing or adding mass under the top . "How many will play a G# in 16th fret and want sustain? " 😁.
True, but the shorts I speak of on some guitars aren't all necessarily wolf notes. Only some particularly short ones are wolf notes. Of course, this particular guitar is incredibly even, but some guitars lack of evenness in sustain aren't due to wolf notes being everywhere, but much more subtle details. My thoughts atleast.
Double tops is a type of lamination. However, there is a major difference in how the lamination is constructed. For double tops, a lot of workmanship is put into the middle layer to make it as light as possible while maintaining good rigidity. This means either a material like Nomex is used, or a lot of hollowing out is performed on a balsa layer. Like you surmise, gluing is also important to reduce excess and keep the weight down and a high quality top will be used on both sides of the "sandwich".
Feel free to write to me. Not a Hauser copy! Almost every Hauser has a spruce soundboard, much thicker than this cedar doubletop, and with a very different soundboard construction (single top), rosette, headstock, etc.
Beautiful guitar !! 👍👏

How much is a cedar Antonius Muller guitar?
Do you have a favourite maker in the $5-6k (used) range (not full lattice or double top)?
how is a double top different than a laminate instrument, do laminates have more plys amd amount of glue, lower quality wood?

I wonder how much this would be? looks like a Hauser copy?.
