    I also have a pair of the cordless scissors, great gadget for this lady who has arthritis. I bought mine on Amazon, not the same ones you have but honestly most of them look identical. I paid a bit more because I opted for one that has a carrying case plus an extra battery in case I feel inspired to batch cut (which hasn’t happened yet, but I’m ready). I can’t use rotary cutters as my wrists do not have the strength to press down with the blade, so these scissors are my best buddies in my sewing room. Thanks for featuring yours because I have no doubt there are many others out here that would appreciate and enjoy having a pair.

    I purchased myself a pair of the Pink Power electric scissors as a Christmas gift to myself this past year and I love them. I also purchased 12 extra blades. I have carpal tunnel also and these really are easy on my wrist. Enjoy😊

    I believe I left a suggestion for these on one of your batch cutting videos bc I dislike cutting out. They are a great piece of equipment, mine are a different brand but it gets the job done with less mental distress. Then we move onto the nicer bits, keep sewing!

    Does it have some kind of base at the bottom of the cutter that prevents cutting through to your table? Does it vibrate and cause hand to shake? Thanks for sharing your opinion on it.

    • @weceestyle
      @weceestyle  9 днів тому

      No, it doesn’t have a base at the bottom from cutting through to your table, but with adequate holding of the tool, I don’t think you’ll be able to cut through to your table. It does vibrate, but you have great control over the tool and it mildly shakes your hand. I’m going to post a video of using the cutter up close.

    Good video.. I have these and never used them.. one day I will. You mentioned notches. Can you explain what they are and how they work? I’m new to learning..

    • @weceestyle
      @weceestyle  26 днів тому

      Notches in sewing are small cuts or triangles in a fabric pattern that help guide the sewer while assembling a garment. They’re most often used to align pattern pieces.

    I have arthritis in the base of my thumb, and after sewing all day they are screaming. It helps me to put mittens on, especially overnight, and it does calm down a lot. I found this very helpful. I have an electric scissors but I find it hard to cut accurately. Any tips on that?

    • @weceestyle
      @weceestyle  10 днів тому

      I’m so grateful you found the video helpful! In order to cut accurately, I found that it’s helpful to use gentle pressure and let the scissors do the work. I also adjust my cutting pace to match the scissors’ speed because I realized, moving too quickly can result in jagged edges. And then I pause and reposition the fabric as needed to maintain precision. I hope that helps 😊

      @Thanks for your tips. I'll be trying it for cutting my next top, which will be soon. I've watched a bunch of your videos. I was so sad to learn of the skirt you made that was too small! I started sewing a few years ago using the Sure Fit Design system, which is based on your measurements. My sister is an accomplished sewist, doing many more quilts than clothes, but she worked with me to draw better fitting patterns. I am one of those unfortunates with 3 different sizes, the smallest is my shoulder, next is my waist, and largest are my hips. I know with each blouse I make, which is what I like the best, and then I make a necklace to go with it. It is so important to get used to checking your measurements with each new pattern, making sure you have all pieces with your measurements plus ease. Many patterns give you those finished garment sizes, which you can at least compare to your own measurements plus ease. Even better would be to take a look at Surefitdesigns.Com. Thanks again and good luck!

    Do you have a cutting mat down under your fabric?

      @@weceestyle cool, this might be good for me! The only flat space I have big enough to cut fabric on is the floor in my living room and I'm always worried bout literally cutting the rug. If this doesn't cut into what's under it it might be the perfect solution!

    • @weceestyle
      @weceestyle  26 днів тому +1

      I use this product cutting on the floor on my rug, and I’ve had ZERO issues with it cutting the floor or my rug 😊

    Hi. Are these scissors quite or do they make a lot of noise?

    • @weceestyle
      @weceestyle  15 днів тому

      They do have a loud hum. They are not quiet. I’ll make and post another close up video in which you can hear how loud they are.
