The Great Deku Tree (Ocarina of Time ReOrchestrated)

- This piece is just fantastic. It perfectly suits how somber and serious the Great Deku Tree is. The song sits in the Phrygian Dominant scale, having both a flat second and a major third. By dancing around the chord tones that would otherwise make a major sound, Kondo give the song a wise yet urgent feel. My arrangement uses a string quintet, and because the song is so short, I made four 'sections' that play with the music to build interest and see what this melody is capable of.

First!!! It def brings back some good memories 😅😂 Good job ReOST!
Congratulations! This song is way underused in the game for how good it is. Thanks so much!
I like the sound visualizer in his video. It looks like it's dripping.
XD That wasn't the intent, but you are definitely right. I tried fiddling around with where to put it. Still haven't landed on a 'best' solution as of yet.
Nice
Very nice
Thanks!
I really like the double base under it all, makes it very deku tree like!
Thanks! I thought so too. The dry timbre of the contrabass adds a certain quality to it, though I'm not sure exactly what.
