Todays video we will be recording Maple House Test Route 2. This driving test route in Maple House is a really long difficult route. We were driving near 40 minutes from start to finish. There was so many tricky spots during this test route.
It can be really challenging coming out of the industrial estate at Maple House. It does be really busy and you have to be on your A game. There is many big roundabouts in this route in Maple House and big junctions with fast paced roads.
I would recommend practicing this route and watch it more than once as there is somethings you might miss the first time you watch it.

Did that person in front at 0:48 seconds fail for mounting the path? Right at the beginning! Great videos!
🤣 I never noticed that I would say that was a g2 for position turning left that be harsh to fail them there
@17:30 you are allowed to overtake a bus even if there is a continuous white line as long as you can see it’s safe to do is, you also won’t be faulted if you decide not to overtake due to the line.
You can find it on the document “Driving fault marking guidelines” under Examples of ‘Road Marking’ faults include:
(a) Disregard for a Box Junction
I also believe you would have been faulted at 12:45 for positioning. You kept out even though the gap between the car you overtook and the next one was excessive, if you came back into the left lane you would have seen oncoming traffic coming from around the bend. However weaving in and out of intermittently parked cars is not allowed.

I never seen anyone fail their test for not overtaking on a continuous white line but I definitely seen people fail for doing so. I would take a grade 2 all day for progress overtaking compared to a grade 3
Also 1000s of people will see this video over the years and I am not telling people to overtake on a continuous line because that will be taking out of context and people will think it’s ok
Again another grey area… there is no exact measurement of distance between parked cars. I would have considered that weaving and it’s always easy to advise after the fact

At 29:47 you said 'this is a tricky one and you were asked to turn right but you went straight' could you explain why you stopped and went straight? Thanks!
Hey yes this is so confusing becuase the major road is bending to the left we are actually turning right
