I'm Faren. I big chopped in April 2013. I have medium to low porosity hair, that is super dense at the crown. My haircare regimen includes washing my hair at least once a week, regular treatments (protein, olaplex and bond salve) and trims every 3 months on blown out hair. I am not a hair care professional, and I'm honestly still learning my hair.

I do want to say that I LOVE the packaging!

With each review I can see these products are not for the tighter thicker coils. She marketed as being for 'black hair' but she doesn't have the typical type of hair that a lot of black women have so for her to use that range of marketing to me was deceptive. These products seem to sit on top of thicker texture hair. She needs to change that name to '4U if you have hair like mine'...lol!
Yep. My impression is 4U BY TIA is not 4US, 4C, 4PERIODT.
@@chocolatte522 there are plenty of options, both affordable and pricey, for finer hair with looser curls. Target is full of them and has been for quite some time.
@chocolatte522 And that's fine. My daughter has a different texture/curl type from mine. But Tia needed to do more testing of these products on other textures if she wants to market them for everyone. That's my point...and my opinion. I use several other good products with good price points. So I won't be supporting this brand unless she makes her products more diverse as she markets them to be.
@chocolatte522 I have no plans to use it because I use others that work better in my hair and my daughter's...🤷🏾♀️ This was just my opinion...you could've kept scrolling and made your own separate comment though.

A smart business woman would have tested their products not just only on their hair but all hair types from 3c to 4c to market for black hair care! I don’t mind her making the products but if you market it for black hair care then we need it to be tested for ALL black hair care instead of one type. We need a celebrity with type 4b and 4c to make a line that actually works and not just putting a their name on a brand just because!
I totally agree! I think Tabitha Brown did a great job with her products. I’m not a fan of the smell for a shampoo and conditioner but the products did perform really well and I hear the hair cream is phenomenal for a twist out. I have a TWA right now and my hair loves the softness. I have low porosity 4a/4b. Regarding 4U I will definitely not be trying.
I enjoyed Taraji's hair care line and Tabitha Brown's line.
Especially when the products are named 4U and I haven’t seen anyone with Type 4 hair be happy with this line. Pattern beauty was inclusive from the beginning especially the deep conditioners. I’m still trying to figure out who is doing a flexible hold- it’s an oxymoron. Lol
I actually enjoy Pattern Beauty and I have 4b hair.
This is the fourth review on these products that I've seen. Yours is the most diplomatic but it seems like these products are not for the coily gals and that's ok we have got plenty of choices. It would probably best be suited to persons with Tia's hair type.
Thank you so much! I really try to be subjective. Maybe she can redeem herself with a deep conditioner, stying cream and a heavier gel.

You confirmed by suspicion that the conditioners are not for 4C hair. In reviewing the ingredients on the back of each container, there was only one major nonionic surfactant, i.e., fatty alcohol, which is the Ceteraryl Alcohol and the rest of the ingredients are emollients. 4C respond better to fatty alcohol ingredients to capture a curly pattern. Tia's haircare line is probably better for 2A to 3A hair. Thanks for doing the review.

Such a beautiful head of hair, clearly this product was not meant for our tight coils. It’s unfortunate she didn’t provide options for type 4 hair.
Thank you!!! I don’t think people realize how difficult it is to make hair products that work for EVERYONE. Unless they’re going to drop with lots of different options. Hopefully she can redeem herself
Most people are trying to be politically correct - 4U is not for type 4, it’s more for fine type 2 to 3. And every review people had frizz. I like Tia but like Gabrielle union and tariji P I’m not using their products. Pattern beauty is showing celebrities how to do a natural hair care line !

I have been watching reviews on her Line and everyone stated it's not for 4 type hair..thank you for your honesty and Fred did look waaaay better after the co-wash..😊❤️

Something that is kinda rubbing me the wrong way is that people who they sent products to, got really nice packaging but the actual packaging for customers, is not like that at all. I feel like most things about this launch have been so misleading. From the packaging to it being for 2A-4C 😭
Really....I assumed that the packaging would be the same. That's so weird!
It’s a PR package lol they are always nicer. Have you seen the IvyPark PR packages versus the actual packages. A world of difference.
@@myopinion6748 yeah. And had this not been a launch I would have been ok with that. But having people get special boxes and that’s the first look I get of your branding seems dishonest.

Seem like these products are made for type 4 hair the review haven’t been favorable. Idc for these celebrities lines either. Traci Ross the only one who wear her hair out her products are meh for me.
Btw, products foaming up doesn’t lead to flakes as long as there’s enough water.
I think after this launch she will review and expand the line.
You may need a protein treatment if you haven’t done one. That’s usually the reason for your hair feeling gummy.
Yeah…I thought about that after the fact, I actually did a protein treatment the next wash day. I used a strengthening mask before I straightened my hair, but maybe it wasn’t enough. Thanks for the tip! 💛

@@HeyKnottyGirl yeah i was going to comment the same thing when you said your hair felt gummy, I like using one before and after silk pressing cuz my hair is soooo temperamental when I come out of a silk press lol
These products are for people with her hair grade she is biracial
Yes....hair products should not be marketed to work for all hair types
I wont be trying this because it probably cost too much for me ... I am a cheap~O but i must say i ♥️ the bottle sizes 👍🏿

It’s probably the sugarcane there was a product back in the day that had sugarcane in that made my hair feel the same very gummy

I love the product but I have similar hair to Tia's. Idk so far I guess its not all that inclusive like she claims
