What a genuine good person she was. One of my earliest memories is of being in 1st grade in Texas. I would walk to school and if the morning was particularly cold for some reason sound carried farther. The high school marching band was practicing Georgie Girl and even though they were several miles away I heard it. I loved that song so my little 6 year old self be-bopped her way to school singing along with the music. A little skinny redhead in a hand-me-down coat singing Georgie Girl. Such a sweet memory. Thank you Judith for your lovely voice…..and you weren’t ugly! RIP sweet lady.
I was extremely saddened to learn that Judith passed. Every time I see and hear her perform it soothes my soul. She brings a smile to my face and heart. And the world IMO is a little less beautiful. Thank you Judith for being you and sharing your wonderful voice and talent with us.
RIP Judith, you were more than pretty. You were absolutely perfect. Thank you for your life and talent which you shared to all of us. There will never be another you. RIP.
Yes. The seekers Judith Durham songs was a part of my youth but i never forgot them. Still thei keep popping UP ever now and then. Thank you for the lovely interview with Judith Durham I was a friend with Judith for many years we we.nt to the same school Bentleigh west and hung out together she would come to my father's house and o would go to where she lived we had many happy times singing in the school and we would go out together after school she was a great girl with a magnificent voice and l am sorry that she has gone from this world l saw her when she was in the Alfred hospital and we had a long talk she was in so much pain after her car accident but they were very good to her great hospital rest in peace Judith merle noble
Judith may have disappointed fans of The Seekers when she left the group in 1968. But her solo career has not disappointed anyone. And her reunions with The Seekers have been phenomenal. Her voice is that of an angel. God sent her to earth to give us a sample of what the heaven will be. And her CD "The Hottest Band in Town" is out of this world. She sings as though she grew up in New Orleans and learned at the knee of the great jazz artists. I am constantly awed by her talent. Some of her songs actually bring tears of joy to my eyes. Talent, beauty, class all rolled into a frame of 5-feet-2. I am so sorry I never saw her in concert, but being here in the USA was a big disadvantage. Judith also has me in awe because of her spirituality and positive attitude despite some severe challenges and the loss of her beloved Ron. I wish I could give her and hug and tell her how much I admire her.
Judith was beautiful with a lovely voice and evidently a lovely person, liked all of her music (praise indeed from me as a out and out rock fan),the good die too young , r.I.p. Judith.
I’ve watched this video before and now she’s gone I understand her attitude to life, what a remarkable lady such energy in her thoughts I hope she has found what she was looking for bless you Judith😢😢❤️
I had the pleasure of seeing this delightful lady and the other members of The Seekers many times in the second part of the story. Meeting her was a joy and she was one of the most sincere and humble people completely real. Much loved never forgotten rest well Judith.
Jane Hutcheon is a gifted interviewer. Thanks to her intelligent questions, I learned Judith Durham's philosophy of life and I was able to experience her intelligence and warmth. Thank you Jane. Thank you Judith for the music and the wisdom.
Yes, I was impressed by her questions---although at times, I suspect the editor clipped seconds that would have enhanced her style..... Trying to squeeze in the questions to make the commercials.... Mmmm? The pause of reflection was not there after Judith answered.... it just went straight to the next question. Which showed poor empathy from the production staff. (The advertisement can wait... For heavens sake.)
I agree 100% Joycie JD. I was just thinking that when I noticed your comment. Her questions are so unique - Not cliche at all. I love that! Glad you think so too.
What a genuinely wonderful person Judith Durham was. Learning about her passing a few weeks ago, I watched many videos on the Seekers and thus Judith. It all moved me tremendously, she is, was, so inspirational. Thank you for showing this interview.
2 gifted women . jane is so skilled she's not doing an interview she's having a really interesting yarn to her mate who she's fascinated with and genuinely wants to know more .she's bringing out the best in judith. and what can we say about her mate . a wise women who's got a fair bit figured out about how to navigate life to get the most out of it despite the twists and turns and ups and downs .so natural and authentic that's been incredibly hard won . listen carefully to get some gems .thanks girls for your precious contribution to us all.
She is an absolute icon! A beautiful lady with a vocal talent that gives me goosebumps every single time! I am so proud Judith and The Seekers are Australian & her/their music mean so much to me. Love her! Gorgeous interview!
A first class Lady and singer! We are blessed to have had a small part of her. God given special voice and she shared it with the world. Thank you for posting.
What a fabulous interview. Judith shines like the brightest star in the cosmos. Don't you just want to watch her on screen or stage all day, ever day? A true legend and a true Lady.
How lovely is this interview. Judith is still so gorgeous and full of life and the interviewer seems so warm and really great at conducting the conversation.
Jane Hutchen is an excellent interviewer, Judith Durham is a charismatic, beautiful woman. She is a quality woman and thinking of all the years the Seekers' music has flowed into our minds and spirits... kind of made me misty eyed! She knows the purpose of life. I wish Judith Durham will come to the USA!
Really a treasure watching this interview n know more of Judith Durham n’ the Seekers’ stories. I’ve grown up with their memorable melodies. She deserves all admirations in many ways.
Such a humble lady. The Seekers were phenominal. And I thought she was English but when she speaks, the accent is Australian through & through! Jim from Cleveland.
Judith you have a voice of an Angel, there's no one that I have ever herd with a voice like you the resonance and melody your voice is so beautiful you are a verry special chosen lady and to be 75 and still have that beautiful voice. It flows . Never thought that your not special love you. Never stop your gift is so beautiful. 💜💛💚😍
What a wonderful person Judeth is...first time i have seen her in her mature years and she exudes inner beauty. She inspired me as a singer with her naturalness.
"Artists"? "Stars" "Celebrities".... Where? (2022 I write) very few could even aspire to reach the talents of this lady. It's just a merry-go-round of repetitive crap these days.... all making stupid childish comments on so-called "social media".
Inherent goodness projects from this fine lady at every juncture. She has always been so beautiful. She has the brightest and most smiling eyes and a head of hair to die for. She has a knack for describing the different aspects of her life in the most eloquent and insightful manner.
Class and more class. Jane Hutcheon is such an amazing journalist and professional. American hosts can learn so much from her. American hosts just want to get into the disgusting details of sex and depressing issues. We don't want to hear that! We want a discussion and to learn about a person, not just their faults. Absolutely beautiful from start to finish. Thank you for posting!
Well said! Sick of this obsession with the tawdry side of life...at whatever level. But...." the public gets what the public wants...." A sad reflection on the human race.
What an uplifting interview - Thank you Judith! I have been a fan of yours since 1966 and still play your CDs very often (I first started with the 78s of course).
Goodbye thank you and R I P And your voice will always be remembered in the🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 One more thing I will always keep listening to your music and the speakers thank you for everything in your memory will always be on UA-cam
She really is a beautiful and incredibly talented lady, who I have always loved since first discovering the Seekers when I was 13 in 1968, also what a beautiful interviewer.
Judith is the most person I know, just wonderful and upbeat, would love to meet her, probably won't happen but I can listen to their music, the rest of the band is also wonderful, she always makes that clear, wonderful lady, I listen to their music everyday here in the USA.
I'm 69 but had remembered "I'll Never Find Another You" from high school. I loved the song but it wasn't my kind of music or so I thought. Unless you saw these artists on the Ed Sullivan Show or American Bandstand, you had no idea what they looked like. I didn't know Judith's name or that she was that darling to look at. She just has a "way" about her that is too pleasant to not be known to a younger generation. I started sniffing around on UA-cam and have become addicted to watching her the last ten days. I never thought I'd become entranced with a song like "Morningtown Ride", but I keep playing that and about 8 others over and over. That clear, honest voice rings out like no one else's. In this mean age we now live in where songs and movies are "hate mommy, kill daddy", demons, zombies, etc., I wonder if she/The Seekers might be willing to come back and re-introduce a kinder, gentler genre like this and see how it goes? Anyone have any thoughts? Meanwhile, consider reading 1 Timothy 3: 1-5 in the New Testament and see if this does not accurately describe what we are seeing all around us.
The carnival is still not over , and never will be she lives on in heaven and in our hearts. God truly blessed a special talent when she came into this world. I will miss her till i die 😔✝️

A wonderfully uplifting interview! I can't help think as an American in my fifties, that I missed something awfully special musically when The Seekers were top of the chart. (What has become of popular music today?) In her closing remarks, Judith Durham reinforces the value of music's ability to inspire. I want to know more about this person.
I love how she says it is what happens after this life that we need to be concerned about. That is so what I truly believe and it brought the largest smile to my face.Great interview.

Lovely comment… destiny it was . Lucky us
We've lost two lovely ladies in the last few days, Judith Durham and Olivia Newton -John. May their dear souls rest in peace.
That beautiful smile is timeless and a voice like no other, this lady is a world treasure.
She did not think of herself as attractive. But I like the way she looked. Distinctive, almost beautiful.
An absolutely wonderful lady, humility blended with class and dignity. She has no equal, now or ever....and a voice beyond compare!
The Seekers were a fantastic band and Judith had the voice of an angel. RIP lovely lady. I will never forget you.

You have the most beautiful voice after all these years and haven’t missed a beat.
None of the Seekers went "off the rails". "Just regular people". Thank you for the wonderful music.
Such an eloquent human being. Every response was as deep and reflective as can be. She is an absolute treasure at all levels.

love you judith and you were and are tremendous
Great interview what a lovely lady.
Singing uplifting songs when we are down and out is all well and good for those of us with normal brain chemistry. But for people with Mental Health Issues such as Clinical Depression simply singing uplifting songs doesn't do the trick. With that said this is a very lovely lady and I have enjoyed listening to the music of the Seekers since I was a young child. :)
She is was not talking about people with mental health but people like you and me who get down in the dumps. Lincoln liked to tell jokes to get him through the day. Peasant people would sing songs to get them though workdays that would have us on our knees.
What a GREAT natural harmonic talent! I would find it a difficult task to find a natural vocal talent even today with so many singers (sooooo many compared to the days of the Seekers) to find a great vocal talent like Judith's!
Thank you Judith for all the beautiful songs..
Talking of greatest female singers...yes Judith Durham is right up there in the top. Another fabulous female singer not mentioned is Joan Baez. She really can sing and is truly awesome...
