FFXIV Dawntrail | Checking Out the New Blacklist Feature

- Square Enix announced major updates to improve player interactions. The highlight? The new Blacklist feature. It doesn't just mute a player's chat messages-it removes their character from your view entirely!
But that's not all. The Mute List retains the old Blacklist function, silencing chat messages without hiding the character. And for those pesky keywords, the new Filters will block messages containing specific terms.

We see the person you block dissappear, BUT do they see us still, or do we dissappear on their end as well?
Important to know ♡
No one is able to provide an answer to this
We did test and it appears no, they still see you, so they can stand on you and be there and you'll never know....which is much more creepy.....why is it so hard for se to protect its players jeez
Brilliant finally I'll be able to blacklist all the no life's standing in limsa so the area gonna look much clearer .
Oh good because I know about this one guy who was aggressively stalking and harassing people who blocked him using the fact they could still see his character. Been wondering why they didn't have this feature that the other mmorpgs I have played do.
Did they mention how this would work in Roulettes/Instances/PF? Currently you cannot join a PF hosted by someone that has you blacklisted but you can still see it. I'm guessing this will only affect visual in the open-world.
If I remember correctly, someone you blacklisted will have their name appear as "Unknown" if you get matched with them in Roulettes. And if they say something, you'll have the option to temporarily view their message.
Finally someone who shows how this works
>How to turn Balmung in a good server in two simple steps
200 limit though. I've almost maxed that out on Balmung already.
>how to tell someone has never been to Balmung
@@starbreeze7249 I was not only on balmung but had my character there for years. But yeah, my mistake. It should have been: ">How to turn Crystal into a good datacenter in two simple steps instead of the piece of crap it is now."
