Thanks for this reaction, I'm certain the main singer Suzuka/Su-metal is humble enough, she would probably very honored to be compared to world renowned artist Kate Bush in any way. 🙂 Even though Babymetal is world renowned as well, at least in the niche of Japanese music abroad. Japanese music industry is very insular, they mostly produce music for Japan, but it's also still the second largest music industry in the world. So not many Japanese bands break out into the world, but Babymetal did in especially the metal world. For example their 3rd album reached #1 in the rock/metal album charts in the US Billboard. I think you got a good sense of Babymetal, Babymetal was created with a wink and smile, it's about having fun with metal music without making fun of metal music, but it also is remarkable, because it wouldn't have worked (it's a silly idea, little girls and metal music in this form) without the hard work and passion of talented people.

Welcome to the BABYMETAL Fox hole.🦊 'Headbanger' (or to give it its official title 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!') is a song about a girl going to her first concert on her 15th birthday. 15 is significant in Japan as that is when compulsory education ends, so the girl is also realising she will never be treated as a child again and her first 15 years passed so quickly, so she is etching this special night of her 15th into her heart so she will never forget. This video is from 2012, so Su-metal was still only 14, Yuimetal and Moametal were both 12, nearly 13. The song is not biographical - but they were already playing at metal concerts, not attending their first one. BABYMETAL started in 2010 as a sub-unit of a school themed JPop Idol group (they were aged 12 and 11 at the time) and created their own metal sub-genre mixing Metal with JPop hooks, melodies and aesthetics. They separated from the parent group in 2013 to become an independent band in their own right and have been touring the world every year (when they could) since 2014. We have watched them grow up and become one of the very best live acts on the planet. BABYMETAL are Su-metal (lead vocalist and the whole concept was formed and developed around her vocal talents and stage presence - she is exceptionally talented), Moametal and Momometal (in charge of backing vocals, harmonies and mainly hyping and involving the crowd with their choreo). It is Moa and Momoko's parts that the crowd will sing along with and they are a huge part of what sets BABYMETAL apart from other bands. The original third member, Yuimetal, last performed in October 2017 and was absent for 12 months for health reasons until she announced in October 2018 that she was still not fully recovered and would be leaving the band. After Yui left Su and Moa chose to continue as a duo through to and a bit beyond their 10th anniversary. So it was just the two of them for 4 or 5 years supported from 2019 by 3 dancers who would take turns dancing in the third spot until 1st April 2023 when one of those dancers, Momoko, was finally revealed as the new official third member. Su calling Moametal and Momometal to her was a very special moment because of that. They are supported in all live shows by the Kami Band, all of them are world class instrumentalists. Since 2019 they have two Kami Bands, the Kami Band of the East (the best Japanese session musicians you could ask for) have been with them since 2012 and full time since early 2014. The Kami Band of the West (American musicians) joined them in 2019 and have been the full time support for the lengthier tours around the world (they played nearly 100 concerts in 25 countries last year - it was them in this video). You will only see and hear the Kami Band in live performances, they do not record the studio versions (with one guitarist being the known exception). They have nearly 70 songs now, each one different to the last. They have songs in virtually every metal genre, but they will mix and blend so many other musical styles and genres with the metal - usually when you least expect it. Their official videos are all very good, but live BABYMETAL is best - they are a live performance act, their albums are more like taster menus for their songs, you don't get the full dish with all the flavours until you see and hear them performing the songs live. I'm sure you will get some great suggestions for more songs. Some are straight metal, some lean towards their pop roots and they do everything in between. All you can be sure of is that they will surprise you every time, you will not be able to predict what you will see or hear from them next. Expect the unexpected. You could try another early song with 'Road of Resistance' live in Japan (that was from 2015) or if you want to see how they have developed and evolved a more recent song and performance I recommend is 'Monochrome' live at the PIA Arena in Yokohama in 2023 for another reaction.
Something I should add, just remembered: the comparison to Kate Bush isn't so odd, Babymetal started when they were just 11, 11 and 12 years old, and Kate Bush had her first hit at age 13.

Realmente, o Babymetal começou como um experimento que acabou dando MUITO certo. De certa forma trouxe um respiro para o metal, pois trouxe para o metal uma garotada que de outra forma não curtiria o gênero. Hoje tem milhões de fãs mundo a fora e virou uma máquina de fazer dinheiro.

Parece que falam se queixando sempre... Essas vozes estridentes não são muito a minha praia. Só não gosto.
