I strongly agree @lagan khurana, Indians tend to be waiting on validation of the West. If you have travelled abroad for a job you are probably awesome and if you haven't then you are probably doing a mediocre job. No one really cared much about Ayurveda, classical dance, yoga, and more such things which had it's very origin in India, until the time it was so extensively looked up to by the westerns. Sad!!

Till then it's the responsibility of the parents to keep the kids informed about our rich history and culture. No hopes on history books.
