It's not his cat though, so it's a stranger to him,even the cat owner is a stranger...from what I get in the video the boy was simply happy to see the cat waiting for him there every morning even tho it wasn't his he was happy it was there every morning kinda like waiting for him to pass by, that's why when the cat was gone the kid didnt know what happened and was sad, if it was his cat he would know she had kittens
