    Put one on my Scram 411 and it transformed the bike, no more compressed spine ! Got mine from Baxter Cycle here in the states.

    As with all units, it will get better, as it beds in! Cheers, DINO.

    Inspiring Ian.
    Your curiosity is intriguing.
    Appreciate all the modification information.
    Our days are nearing 44-45 degrees celsius, so little to no riding for now. (Easy chair surfing)

      Agree far too hot for riding. Sue went out in her car yesterday and the temperature was showing 44 degrees celsius here. She's up at the crack of dawn working in the garden before it gets too warm.

    It's nice to find that Value for Money deal when it comes to suspension upgrade, YSS seems to offer that, I on the other hand I'm not happy what what supposed to be a decent Italian suspension Brand BITUBO, very disappointed with it, worst €400 euros I spend on my motorcycle😢

    • @iantoy7778
      @iantoy7778  Місяць тому

      Never used that brand myself but I have read good reviews. Italian parts are usually good

    Installed both front and rear suspension, you were right it was a serious pain in the butt to complete and reassemble. How can we set the rebound on the suspension without removing have the plastics, do you have any clue?

    • @iantoy7778
      @iantoy7778  16 днів тому

      If you have a look through my videos you will find one about adjusting the YSS shock absorber and setting the SAG. If you bend the end of the adjusting tool that came in the kit about 45 degrees you will be able to get it in. I show this on the video. Don't forget to undo the locking grub screw. This is all on the video.

      @@iantoy7778 I ll look at the video again , heat wave burned most of my brain cells last couple of weeks. THANKS!

      Found it. Actually removing the rear splash guard is the key point to be able to set it up for the rebound. My weight is slightly less than yours so I will start with the 26mm measurement and see from there. The front system made a big difference from my stock scram setup(5600kms on the bike).

    what's your weight and how many clicks did you set dampening adjuster to? I'm trying to get mine dialed in as I just installed my yss on himmy. thanks

    • @iantoy7778
      @iantoy7778  2 місяці тому +1

      I weigh about 84kg. First job is to set the preload spring load gap as shown in the video on fitting the shock. The damping was two clicks from the bottom.

    Hey Ian. Im seriously thinking of getting one for my scram 411. How is the behavior on the apparently bad Bulgarian tarmac? I live in Greece and we have pretty much the same crappy roads on the country like the ones i see om your footage. Is it more comfortable on the longer rides?

    • @iantoy7778
      @iantoy7778  Місяць тому

      Yes the suspension is pretty good now. The only problem I have is the seat which is not so comfortable. I am waiting for delivery of a sheepskin seat cover. Hopefully that will do the trick. The YSS shock was definitely worth the money.

      @@iantoy7778 As per seat comfort, I use the Himalayan split seat (touring one) on the scram it's a bit better than stock scram and Himalayan ones. I did order the seats concepts seat from cooperb UK but it's sitting on my sister's place in London, when I go in August I will pick it up and install it. I will let you know about the difference in comfort vs the stock one. They do say it makes a massive difference as far as I read online. Expensive, but that's the price on bottom comfort after all?

    Hi Ian,
    I know its hot but please wear some gloves when riding. You only get one skin! I see many Americans and other you tubers either wearing silly gloves or none at all. Having spent 3 weeks in hospital I know how important its is.

    • @iantoy7778

      @@paulbillingham4594 I always wear gloves usually but when IAM filming and you are switching the camera on and of every few minutes or even every 20 seconds I can't work the switches on the camera wearing gloves.Also as it's so hot here it's difficult to get you gloves on and off because sweating hands.That's why you always see me on video with no gloves. I do understand where you are coming from though.
      Thanks
