Every coin hunt is a good one. The results may not be what you were looking for. My son is a Canadiens fan, so I was cheering for more Habs! Congrats on all those coin buys and scarce coins. Your collection just got more interesting. Take care.
@@CADRollHunter yes I did. The expansion was internal so we had to walk through the production areas. They do have tours for public view, I took one a couple years ago
Awesome hunt! I have yet to get any 2023 KC, local collector in the Grey Bruce area, I just bought more albums using your code and can't wait to fill them out and make some videos too!!
Love the Newfoundland coins, James! They don't get the respect they deserve. Customer return rolls are sometimes not the best value at $1 & 2 dollars loss for "bad" math skills.
NFLD coins are quite appealing to me considering how low mintage they are, and how relatively affordable they are. And, it's true. Hunting loonies and toonies can get a bit expensive!
Tell me about it. The bank brought out a box of toonies and I always check them with the teller. I noticed the rolls were all varying heights. I pulled two out and showed the teller. There was a 5 coin difference in just one of the two. That's $10 right there, not counting all the other short rolls in the box. I'd be out probably $50 if I took that box. ALWAYS OPEN IT BEFORE YOU TAKE IT OUT OF THE BANK!!!
They gotta be doing something weird to dish them out. I come across folded hand rollers that have 5-20 PRISTINE brand spanking new coins, not a finger print on them. I've almost got a full roll of Chucky III nickels because I just come across the oddest "customer" wraps. I found a stunner MS-66 quarter from 2022 yesterday in a similar roll. So far I've found each denomination but the quarter and dime. Already got the 50 cent piece for 50 cents. The loonie is already a little stained, and I had to throw the toonie back because it had the ring of death. I have no idea how they are distributing them but it's freaking weird.
I have found 2023 Charles dimes, quarters, loonies and toonies. I haven't found the nickel yet. Some I got from hunts and some from pocket change at McDonalds.
Nice hunt love your Canadian coins I don’t find many here in glens Falls New York I’m interested in doing some trading thank you so very much for sharing 👍👍❤️
Granville! Thanks, as always, for watching. I have lots of duplicates of Canadian coins. If you're interested in a trade, give me a shout at cadrollhunter@gmail.com!
This is about how my loonie hunts go now. I just go through them at the bank, 10-20 rolls at a time. I'll get maybe one keeper or upgrade per 750 coins.
I haven’t found any King Charles loonie and toonie in my change yet. Only the quarter, dime and nickel. It’s like people are hoarding all of the King Charles 2023 coins 😂
5:58 a couple more telltale signs: 1) the typeface of the serial number (Arial in this case) is incorrect 2) the space between the letters and the serial number, and 3) there should only be two letters before the serial number, not three.
i found two king Charles quarters at work out of vending machine at work and one as a bonus from someone i bought something else from them on Ebay. Also these coins don't have the mint mark logo on them ,also still waiting for the 2023 mint set i order from the mint what bad service by them .see specimen sets for 2024 but no mint sets for 2024 have 2024 nickel bought on ebay but see nothing else

Thanks, Ogir! Always hoping the next hunt will be the big score!!
Nice Newfoundland coins. 🇬🇧 Those are great coins to collect. Always good to see a shiny penny, too. Rare sight nowadays.
I love the NFLD coins! And such low mintages, too!
your videos give me hope for my collection.
Happy to hear that! Good luck as you continue to grow your collection!
I was at the Winnipeg mint when they announced the King on coins... building part of the expansion.
Very cool! Did you get a chance to peek inside?! I'd love to see the Winnipeg Mint in action!

I found some king Toonies last week! I also found 1 King Loonie and 9 King Nickels the week before. Kamloops BC. 👍

Was still a good hunt, even if you didn't find a king Charles. Nice New Foundland pickups.
Out of all the coins I have searched this year I have only found 1 dime with King Charles III.

I think you're right - they are, for sure!
Found a few of each Charles III so far, except for the dime that still eludes me.
Good luck! Sounds like they're out there, but might be easier to find in some parts of the country.
I got some nickels and quarters of king Charles III, but haven't got Loonie and Toonie of him.
I'm still looking for the dime and loonie in circulation! Some folks have already found the 2024s.
No charles loonies down here James did find a toonie ,a quarter and three nickels but no dimes or loonies yet

My understanding is that the faux US $100 bill is used for training purposes in Chinese banks to identify current US circulating currency.
Interesting - you'd think they might be able to get their hands on some real bills - China has huge US cash reserves!! ;)
I am in BC and haven’t found any King Charles coins as well 😂. What coin book were you using to look up the NFLD coins ? Thanks

For what purpose? Weighing rolls or boxes? I don't exactly care to spend time doing that - and I don't think they have the patience.

Wow!!
