  • Hy everyone!
I'm in the process of building a new trommel.
I build my previous one around 7 years ago and at that time I was happy with it.
It was more about the performance and function instead of the scale looks.
And now I'm going more for the scale look!
It's going to be all alloy with some steel parts here and there.
The actual trommel will be a pvc pipe of 160mm diameter.
Instead of using a conveyor/ shaker for the feeder i went with something difrent.
I have a plate that goes back and forward. I have seen this in an older model rock sorting plant and always wanted to build one myself.
So here is my first go on a new feeder for my trommel.
    I use a 46rpm motor on 12V
The feeder "plate" is a peace of U profile, 80mm wide with a total length of 320mm. The sides are 25mm high.
The plate moves around on 4 bearings in 2 smal U profiles and has a stroke of 48mm.
The hopper is 1,5mm welded cheat metal.
Still a lot of work to get it dialed in but feel confident it's up to the task!
Hope you'll enjoy it and see you very soon with a new video of the complete trommel!
