In the video i said Shaw with S2 at rank 4/7, mistake.
You need her skill lvl at 7+
And with the second strategy i forgot to say i swapped matterhorn to gravel

Question, does Zima (E1 LVL 55) have more hp and/or def than Texas? (E2 LVL 1)? I tried with Texas but she died by the time I deployed Rangers

or you can have angelina at e2 and your shift units can stay at e1... xD

honestly, for me it worked without killing the 3 exploders by activating cuora skill when the first one comes and pushing that one with the rest.
didn't encounter any problems at all, perhaps a better medic might be needed for bottom right for that though, idk

Woah boy, that was hard. Thank you a ton for this. Especially for providing 2 stratgies, since I couldn't reliable get either. I still had to take a few attempts, but eventually I got it done. This had to be the 4th or 5th guide I've tried and this worked really well.

Ah, I think I'm suffering a case of "my operators are too expensive and Savage is too squishy here". Great guide though, I'll keep trying.
Edit: Okay, just in case someone else needs some more help in the bottom while using Ifrit: First of all, use Myrtle as your battery on the top right, she is awesome. And use some operators to reinforce the bottom right, I had this problem where Shaw would launch the enemy against the base, ignoring the holes, which was not great, reinforce that part with a guard, in front or behind the tank, and put your sniper facing that way in the tile that is down from Ifrit. That will help a lot if the bottom part is hot holding up.

sadly i saw this comment too late and i was trying to figure out how to do it in the last 2 days basically gave up did something else and retried it today.
Since i didn't have ejya/ifrit or any good mage right now i knew i had to use friend units for clearing it and used the free spot for myrtle and i immediatly saw an increase of efficiency (fang would have worked aswell in that spot), so i used Zima/Courier/plume/myrtle as my generators.
I also used Exu instead of rangers because she can survive the slugs but Jessica/Firewatch can do the same with their smokescreen and basically help you longer than firewatch can (you don't need to place melantha there for example to block the first wave of melees)
Everything else i did exactly the same as in the video and it wasn't a problem anymore for example once the bottom 3 can be retreated if you have an exceptionally sniper like exu/Meteorite/bp/Platinum/Executor you can put them inbetween your mage and aoe healer to fasten things up obviously and then just spam the rest of your cost points for all ground units to block and kill as many mages as you can while your ejya /ifrit is charging up.
I think playing 4 point generators + friend Eyja/ifrit is the way to beat this map and i wish it would have been the focus of this video (because i didn't think that far at the start because i was tilted because of ex6)
I didn't have a medic defender, so I used Asbestos and S2 M3 Myrtle instead to simulate the hard to kill aspect of medic defenders.

Thanks for this. All the other clears I saw were leaning hard on E2 Myrtle.
The Ifrit strategy is so clear, but I'm running the problem of not having enough DP when Ifrit is suppose to be deployed. God I wish the challenge modes didn't take 3 practice drills to run.

Actually, Kyo has his Ifrit with pot 5, making her cost 2 less than usual.
@@TheMouseRanReverse honestly what matters is better vanguards like maybe use bagpipe and saga at the start and put myrtle in the back, that'll probably help with the dp cost of pot 0 ifrit

Eeeeyy, we're back here yet again.
Him : bring Ifrit is easier
Me : *seeing his Ifrit cost 2 DP less* oh this is going south real fast
This is my problem as well. most of my operators cost 2 points more than any guides. I have spent many practice attempts with my own strats as well and still no luck doing challenge mode.
TLDR: Spent way too much sanity on this because my male ego needed me to clear this with a severely underleveled team.
I tried this stage like 30-40 times today and used 2 emergency potions since the event is ending.
I had to give it my EVERYTHING to win this stage considering I just started a month ago and I only have like Siege and Hellagur as my 6 stars despite pulling 90 odd times altogether :(
Ran out of refreshes for allied units so I just kept playing with different allied units combinations but in the end I won with a E1 Lvl60 shirayuki allied unit! Thanks for the video, really helped a lot. I was severely underleveled with only 1 E2 Hellagur, the rest being E1 Lvl 30s to 60s. Some modifications I made to your set-up:
1. No Vigna, used plume instead. Instead of placing vigna where you did at the start I placed courier first and siege where you placed courier and zima, then used plume to get the rightmost 2 slugs AND RETREATING just when plume is about to die so you get the full refund of dp. Then placed myrtle down immediately at the right spot that you mentioned.
2. Used pramanix to get rid of the centre bottom 3 slugs then keeping her there to do some damage. I placed gummy where you did.
3. Team SouthEast was Cuora, Feater and Silence. Placed Cuora to get rid of the 3 slugs instead of using a melantha and the rangers.
4. Team Centre was Gummy S1, Hellagur S3, Ptilopsis S2, Shirayuki S2. Placed shirayuki at the spot where you placed eyjafjalla & Hellagur at Matterhorn spot. Retreated myrtle and placed redeployed pramanix at the centre.
5. Hellagur ded and then I placed sora where Rangers makes a brief cameo at 5:46. He DIDNT EVEN BENEFIT FROM SORA PASSIVE HEALING AND HE DIES with skill 3 ON. SAD.
6. Retreat Team SouthEast and just SPAM redeploy vanguards at Matterhorn spot that just MELT. But pramanix S1 and shirayuki S2 can kill fast enough and the attack speed debuff from Pram E1 will prevent gummy from dying.

Odd that I didn't find a lot of trouble for this CM I was sure I was gonna struggle coz of the operator line up. Thanks again for the really detailed guide man. I was really happy that I paid attention to leveling my Shaw as well, she trumps this map!
If you have Myrtle, please use her. She really lifts the level of difficulty

I tried 3 times doing exactly what you did (the Ifrit way) but I was always slightly short on DP and they got through the bottom lane. Got it on my fourth try, the thing I needed to do was immediately place Cuora at 2:15 instead of Melantha. Good guide as always though!
God is a human. God is kyo. Before you released CM stages yet I tried my best not to throw my phone when I did this. I just half assed succeeded CM EX5 and then I saw this vid and you finish it better than I did. You madlad.
Edit : finally after 4 hours on this challenge stage I did it I finished the event :D. Thank you KyostinV (I used ptilopsis as the support unit as I can't find Ifrit lol)
It's the last day of the event and I'm still struggling with this stage I have even done CM EX-6. It's been 3 hours now thank you for the good strategy but it seems I keep on losing due to my slow dp regeneration which doesn't allow me to deploy dps in time on the top. But thanks for your amazing guidance during this whole event @KyostinV I subscribed and, I hope you are doing well.
I really grateful for your guides, the final CM at the extra stages are really making nervous, I'm almost at my wit's end ... I hope you could make a video at OF-EX6 CM later or tomorrow we were waiting for you ...
Used Dur Nar with first skill instead of Matterhorn and that worked great to help get rid of those heavy defenders and stall for Eyja at the end.

Thanks KyoStinV! Finally managed to beat this map. Incase anyone was wondering, it's possible to do this map with E2 Angelina S3 as well, but I had the help from a friend's support Ptilopsis to speed up sp regen. Just put her where Ifirt is.

Good lord, this level gave me far more trouble than ex6 did, i never thought to put vanguards where you first put zima and courier... i also used myrtle for even more dp, due to the fact that she cost 8 dp because i have her at potential 6. Thanks for the tips, they really helped. Timing is super important in this level...

i used hoshiguma, saria, silence, ptilopsis, nearl and angelina( instead of the operators you used and the rest of the squad is the same) took me 3 tries but i managed to clear it . THANKS AND HAVE A GOOD DAY SIR :3

Myrtle (E2 45) and Texas (E1 63) took down the spiders at the beginning, after that, it just took a bit more to retreat the vanguards, but it was almost the same as normal mode, thanks sir

Man, I'm regretting not E2ing Ifrit faster. Will definitely make a note to do so since she seems to be a good substitute for Eyja. Most difficult part about following this guide had to be refreshing supports and waiting for either E2 Ifrit or Eyja with the right skills to show up.
PS: Though it is a bit time and resource consuming, I'd highly recommend E2ing Shaw so you can Mastery 1+ her first skill. That way it pushes better and can act as an 'auto' version of the second skill. AoE is not as strong but it makes up for it in how fast it can deploy, though big units sometimes require more than one push.

@@alexturc9355 I don't even know how I did that at the end I was able to use my skadi that just finished her redeployment time and killed the tank right as it was about to enter the blue box. I was shocked I even accomplished that. Now I'm suffering in this stage because somehow my Ifrit dies even with healer and everything else that can happen bad happens.

Actually, at 2:12, you can deploy cuora instead of melantha, which will save 13dp of her.
Great strategy btw. Without your, I might never able to clear any of this stage in the event on my own.
if you have ptilopsis or any sp regen operator, you have the leeway to use eyja's skill on the first major wave of enemies on the bottom right. (Basically pop eyja's skill the moment its charged for the 1st time) The first major wave on the bottom right is the biggest problem imo as the defender will probably die and the enemies reduce block count. Once you get past that everything is much simpler.

omg I must have done 100 runs to pass this stage! I kept getting fckd on the bottom so I used a Silverash instead of a Coura to clear out the mob then added a guard for the second wave of axe men.

For those who have dp problem like me, you can also change Melantha with a normal vanguard. I cahnge her with scavenger and it works fine
Finally after 8 months I've beaten the CM for this and stage 6, who would of guessed having operators I didn't have back then would be key. 😂

The moment I read the comments and saw all the shaw panic, I immediately went, oh no, I don't have enough hand eye coordination to be that precise. Let's just Mudrock and Blemishine duo this... then I immediately forgot about the bottom lane and focused on top lane. NIghtingale's birdcages saved me from a mad scramble of bait.
I took myrtle s1 and placed her on the top right facing one spider, she's able to tank 1 spider damage and she generates DP like nobody's business in addition to the 3 vanguard in front. If you're using higher cost units like an e2 saria, she's worth bringing here!

Could not find a volcano support, so I tried sk3 Angelina and sk2 Exusiai instead, and they worked even better at only a little bit higher DP cost.
This was probably the hardest of the CMs for me lol. My units cost way too much and I had to cheese it with Myrtle point spam ;w;
Believe it or not, but if you have them, Justice Knight is actually enough to finish off the slugs that Rangers gets rid off. It really helped me to have her coz I could spare more DP

Guide itself is fine, my problem is my gacha luck and I have neither ifrit or eyja, and it really is stupid to have a limit on refreshes so I have to either waste 5 sanity to reset it or wait for 12 hours. Either have unli refreshes or just display all friend supports like in fgo and honkai. Thanks for the guide Kyo, it's always nice to hear your accenr
You can take a support unit in any stage and quit to refresh.
Normal stages take 1 sanity, stages thay you never quit refund full.

My way of clearing this is pretty different but still rely on ifrit, eyja and myrtle. This is pretty good with the low rarity especially with eyja part. You need to concentrate
I never had enough DP. I fixed it by using 1 strongest vangard that block 2 in right side. I deploy her right on 1 of "Zlagz xD", the higher one, facing left to dont kill the second one. It eats one explosion hit, then i can deploy my healer. 1 max lever E1 vanguard can deal with first wave when healed. Just bearly tho, by using Texas i can even damage them before the fight.
So, i dont need to waste dp on guard and i have passive dp income in the back. So i even had some DP for the "last stand" when i just deploy everyone to die in battle as Eyja charges nervously watching everyone perish in front of her.
That took me about 30 tries to figure out. Im low level player, so if guide does not help - i have to figure out some way.

Dam it this is genius my previous strat was to bunch everything in the top right corner and I only had enough time to deploy 1 vanguard (Myrtle) and had to get really good timing while cutting down on dp to the point of using dropping Cigna on random enemies to gain extra dp. Really hard to pull off.

Won by the skin of my teeth. My Ifrit went down just when my borrowed Saria was facing two defenders and a bunch of mages. I managed to use my vanguards to slow down and hurt the mages, then dropped Gravel in at the last moment to block one of the two mages that made to Saria. I think Gravel finished off a mage, but then she was attacking a Defender. Saria and Nightingale and Gravel held out until I could get Myrrh to keep things stable, and then waited forever for enough DP to deploy Ifrit again. Gravel and Saria managed to finish off a Defender, it took so long.
Matterhorn can be replaced with liskarm, which will synergize very2 well with gummy (will most likely prevent leak)
Use liskarm 1st skill.
Melanta can be replaced with Grani, which will refund your DP when retreated.
the hardest part is timing shaw's skill, and do not replace Shaw with Feater. Feater somehow can make enemy fly past the hole(45 degree direction)
