耽美的で厳かな世界観を8bit風に表現した、懐かしくも新しいグラフィックの2D横スクロールアクションゲームです。Curse of the Moon 2では、前作に続く複数のシナリオから構成される、IGA（五十嵐孝司氏）が監修した壮大なストーリーが展開されます。
プレイヤーは悪魔と錬金術師を憎む東洋の退魔士である主人公「斬月」を操作し、魑魅魍魎が潜む悪魔の城に挑みます。また、斬月が物語の中で出会う人物たちを仲間にすることで操作可能なキャラクターが増加します。
増加する仲間は、教会のエクソシストであるドミニクを含む3体の新しいキャラクターが使用可能です。仲間が増えることで、攻略の幅が加速度的に広がるステージ構成になっています。

The Japanese release of Ritual of the night was bungled in Japan by the publisher and Artplay lost millions. This might be a means to recoup that money from a simple quick to make digital game.

@@GearTechnique It had a very long troubled development and the Japanese release was a mess. The 505 publisher didn't prioritize the Japanese release at all and it was delayed 6 months. Artplay lost millions in potential sales.

I love Curse of the Moon. I enjoyed this more than Ritual of the Night. I've finally beat this on Ultimate/Veteran with Zangetsu only. I hope the Sequel will be a little harder.
I love the new character Dominique. She reminds me of Erik Lecarde from Castlevania - The new Generation aka Bloodlines.
Man...I'm in complete love by Inti Creates...Bloodstainde, Blaster Master...only great games coming out...

This is great. I do wish they make Dominique the 3rd playable character for Bloodstained Ritual of the Night next. Her story might make for a good redemption arc for her character if she becomes playable.
I thought Dominique would be the most logical pick for the third character, but Kickstarter Update #104 shot down that theory by specifically saying it's not going to be her.

Glad to see I'm not alone in that I enjoyed Curse of the Moon much more than Ritual of the Night.
These are some exciting times. . . Didn't think a direct sequel would happen.
Best decision you could have made, both you Iga and Inti Creates. But you can do even better by releasing both BS:CotM 1 & 2 on one disc/ cartridge over here in Europe so I can finally get physical edition of these masterpieces.

ハルヒコ あの高層ビル群は恐らく、開発側のインティクリエイツ自社タイトル『蒼き雷霆(アームドブルー)ガンヴォルト』シリーズのセルフパロディですね…
建物の形状が本家ガンヴォルト作中に登場する企業「皇神(スメラギ)グループ」のものに似ていたので、言うなれば『異世界転生じみた内輪ネタ兼オマケED』って事になるのではないか、と自分は解釈しております(´・ω・｀)
あの作品にも実は「序盤の斬月じみた異能使い絶対〇すマン思想」を持った、「悪魔祓いの血を引く退魔の家系の非人外ライバルキャラ」が1人いましてね…(※以下クッソ長い説明挟むので、ご興味なければスルーOKですm(_ _)m)
尤もBloodstained時空と違い、この世界観における「異能者(←説明長いので超ザックリ割愛)」は、世界各地で異能を持たない真人間の大半から迫害されている…みたいな世界観なのです(それ故に異能者→真人間への報復も多発して色々物騒な世界)
それ故ぶっちゃけ斬月おじさん以上に歪み切った生き様を強いられるのですがね…例えば「異能者の危険性を憂いで上司に訴えたのに、利益の邪魔とバッサリ切り捨てられ実験中の事故で死んだ実父の敵討ち」で戦ってた筈が『拉致した異能者を実験体として研究を続け、終始モルモット扱いしてたら逆襲されて殺された因果応報オチ』なんて鬼畜展開ぶち当たってたりしますし(流石インティ)
でも良シナリオ良ゲームシステムなんで不思議と進めるのが苦にならないんだ…気になったら是非遊んでみてね！
