“His World” is genuinely one of the hardest songs SEGA has ever dropped (at least until Frontiers raised the ceiling on that front) and the fact that it was for Sonic 06 is extremely funny to me.
It's funny how the two worst sonic games - 06 and Rise of Lyric - had almost identically hellish development cycles due to the higher ups at Sega not caring and yet they both had incredible potential and effort put into them
It's funny how every single Symphony show uploaded on YT has every crowd going wild for His World despite 06 having its horrendous reputation 😂 Surprised the moment Shadow kicking Silver in the head didn't get a bigger reaction from how wild the NYC crowd seemed to have been lol
The game was terrible, but the song was actually really good. It may not seem that way in the video, but trust me, as someone who was there, the crowd went wild when Shadow kicked Silver. The NYC crowd was wild, hopefully they come back someday.

I attended the Los Angeles showing last year and it was AMAZING! Say what you will about Sonic 06, but you cannot deny that the music for that game was PHENOMENAL!
His world is still my favorite sonic song till this day !! I had the unfortunate luck of sonic 06 being my first sonic game i played when i was a kid, but i never felt bad about it because of its amazing songs and PEAK shadow
2:20 it's funny how most of the boss fights in this game have you strike the enemy once and then you immediately get flung across the place, it looks badass.
I don't care I love Sonic 06 I never got to play the game when I was a kid but this was my first time seeing Sonic in his first cut scene of his story that first cut scene alone made me love Sonic

This game came out just after I was born, never played it till a few years back, and man I love this game. All the hate it gets but I’ll always have fun playing 06.
Yeah 06 is overhated, I think the only gripe I have about it is its glitches and sonic kissing a human woman (Elise could have easily been replaced with blaze or even a new character). I feel like a lot of hated sonic games are always games that have an out-of-box story, like I really like the 2005 shadow game because so much of its ideas were out-of-the box
Perfect song, for such a terrible game, such as infinite, as wasted potential, how these concepts and songs can inspire us, and fall from grace caused by something else that was key importance to the success of said song and character
i think the smartest move for sega is the "remake" sonic 06 but obviously make it sonic frontiers 2. with the gritty more realistic and aged up tone frontiers had it makes sense to actually do this game justice outside of p-06 bc i mean lets be honest here the only good 3d games weve gotten since 0e6 was unleashed, generations (which was still pretty lack luster) and frontiers which isnt even in normal 3d sonic style. its more of an action/adventure collectothon than a stage runner. s06 wouldve been a great soft reboot if they wouldve done it right instead sega rushed the sonic team while also working on "the secret rings".
The crowd ruined it at first, but it looks like it must of been cool to see in person. Guess you have to have been there? 🤷♂️ If they didnt fuck up this game they would have called it SA3. Maybe that's the pressure that killed this game. That and they spent all the budget on CGI.
Attending in person is definitely better than watching it on video. As for ‘06, they marketed it as the next Adventure game, but the game had so many issues and didn’t feel like a true sequel to Adventure 2 in terms of story. Heroes, though different from the Adventure games, felt more like a sequel. While it’s not Adventure 3, Heroes did continued the story from Adventure 2 in some way, particularly when it comes to Shadow.

I actually love Sonic 06 and with project 06 I can say is the perfect sonic game for me and I love the story too which is shadow and silver
