Aside from the train wreck, which no train enthusiast likes to see, excellent footage of the Lehigh Valley Industrial Brownhoist crane at 1:30. Thank You again, John Pechulis Media.
Mike's commentaries are very genuine. These collection previews definitely have a "home movie" vibe and they aren't super polished with obnoxious background music and an over-enthusiastic narrator.
The narrator sounds like a lawnmower but I love how he makes these films seem more personally because who knew all the railroad workers and refers to them by name.
Wish there was film/video of the Erie Lackawanna operations of the Bloomsburg branch from bridge 60 interlocking southward into its namesake town name Bloomsburg/Ruperts Reading yard where the EL passed thru on its way downriver to Northumberland!
There is footage of the Bloom from Pittston to Bloomsburg in our program: Erie Lackawanna Volume 3 - The 1970's Part 1 www.johnpmedia.com/dvds/erie-lackawanna-volume-3
Wish I had a dollar for every hour i spent as a kid watching the crews at PC's Fort Wayne Indiana Yard classifying cars down the hump! Today all gone, and the area so sketchy I'd probably be shot.
Mike bednar you,re the best manned manliest friend I have ever met today me and you are friends forever Jon Owen Robbins from Kennewick and Mike bednar from catasaqua hokendauqua city
Like Christmas morning when a new one of these show up!
This is priceless stuff right here.
Those Alco Century's are beasts ....
So we're the ge u33c.
These are the very best train videos ever . I love that Mike knows everybody and all the track rights .
Enjoy watching these old ones, better than the modern ones.
Oh This is so inspiring ! Lots of nice scenes ! Love to use some of it on my modelrailroad of the 70s. Thanks !
Adding that one to my Christmas list.
I can not wait for this to arrive in my mailbox! John, great work as usual. Thanks again big mike!
Finally!! More local film, shame it is later on but hard to find any film of the Wyoming valley that isn’t completely deteriorated.
Another great collection!!

That load in the PL&E gondola looked very unbalanced at 2:27. I don't know if you would see something like that attempted today.
Nice Collection - I Liked & Subscribed 👍😎
Nice
Oh great surprise
What’s the story of the up caboose on that train , It seems far from home?
Wish I had a dollar for every hour i spent as a kid watching the crews at PC's Fort Wayne Indiana Yard classifying cars down the hump! Today all gone, and the area so sketchy I'd probably be shot.

What was that part about the cop with a watch and arresting the train master??? Was a bit tough to understand.
"NS, avert your eyes, there he goes."
Can you please explain meaning of Mike's terms heavy side and light side? what yard? eastern lingo for loads and empties? Receiving and departure?
Light side = empties, heavy side = loads. Yard is more than likely Sayre yard or Allentown yard
UP caboose was a ways from home
Interestingly enough, I have an Atlas Trainman HO scale lettered for the Union Pacific with that same slogan on it.
Where in Wyoming Valley can I buy all of the videos that big mike narrates?
Hi Thomas, there are no resellers in that area. You purchase directly through our website www.johnpmedia.com or from one of our many resellers

What's not to like ?!!
Для чего нужен вагон caboose в нем охрана ездит которая сопровождает груз ?
Mike seems to be oppressing that tow truck driver. Witnessed it in volume 2 also!
¿No había un mejor narrador?
Mike is a former railroad employee and is very knowledgeable on these subjects. I can't think of a better person for the job
Start minor talk to my union rep
