I don't understand why people keep asking why he gave up this talent to be an idol. Just because youre good at something doesnt mean you wanna do that for the rest of your life, it's kind of obvious to me.

There are a few idols who play violin but I think Benji's the best, no question about it. I mean his shifting, intonation, and even how he can go from one dynamic level to the next and how he uses the bow are just really really amazing I've always wanted to be a professional violinist but man I want to be half as good as he is
Henry used to be super good at violin, but now he's got his hands full with idol stuff, so obviously his violin skills have deteriorated. He's not as good as he used to be back before committing to becoming an idol. Benji's debuted more recently than Henry has, so less time has passed for his violin skills to deteriorate to the point of Henry's is rn (at least that's what I assume; it could be due to the fact Henry's significantly more busy than Benji is (sadly), so Benji has more time to practice)
If Cantabile Tomorrow will have another season or a new drama about music and classical music. It would be awesome if he was in it!!!!!! They need to get him in a drama! With Henry , Lay , Chanyeol and other artists who plays instruments.

from a purely spectator-with-not-an-inch-of-skill point of view... both henry and benji should be in one body ^.^ Henry has the body language that moves confidently with the music and make others look at him when he plays while benji's playing is very clean and smooth~~ but then again..that's me.. Am a big fan of these two very talented musicians~

i'm kind of surprised that the conductor doesn't look at benji even once during the entire performance, but you see benji glance over a couple times. usually the soloist and the conductor make eye contact at certain points to make sure they're together. makes me think that the conductor doesn't take benji seriously, which is sad considering benji has played with better orchestras in the US (and went to juilliard for a year).
That might not be true..the show made a lot of cuts during Benji's solo and there were some scenes where only Benji was playing and the camera wasn't showing the conductor at all. Let's not make assumptions. also it was the conductor who picked benji to play the solo in an earlier episode..
you're right, it wasn't fair to say the conductor never looked at benji. Just, he should have glanced over at crucial moments, like 1:04 when the violin had an entrance after not playing for a while. Normally conductors and musicians communicate to make sure they come in together.
It's prolly the editing, he might have looked but it was edited out of the angle of shooting. We never know unless we were there live. Better not assume and condemn anything without knowing the whole story

I think that many classic music players like to experiment other kind of music, not to be an idol. That comes with success. David Garett who is really a great violin concert artist likes to play modern kind of music.
Benji study’s at Juilliard. And Juilliard is known for its performance. Henry study’s at Berklee. Which is great if you want to study improv, jazz, modernish performance. I want to go to IU Jacobs Music school someday for music education😂
He must have had his reasons to have stepped away from Julliard.( Not just anybody gets to go to Juilliard to start with.) But I respect his decision. He truly has a gift. But everyone has to decide how they will choose to use their gift. He is one amazing violinist.👏👏👏👏👍
