I am so glad that you suggested reading Assassin’s Blade first, because I did and I couldn’t imagine reading it in any other order. I am currently halfway through Heir of Fire. And yes Crown of Midnight was sooooo good.

It was so hard to not give into the fourth wing hype 😂 I have my copies ready but more books on my tbr before that series so I’ll get to them one day 😂
Ahaha you’re better than me! Having to wait years now for the 4th book is why I’m going to try and not start a new series until it’s complete 😭but I hope you like it once you finally get to it😁🥰

Thanks for your takes on Onyx Storm. I switched a coworker the Mistborn trilogy for the fourth wing trilogy and I’ve never read romance before. I agree that Onyx Storm was my favorite of the three. I had seen the criticism of the book being confusing and I was really confused about it but the way you described it made it make more sense. For being the middle novel of a fantasy series, it honestly kicked ass

For Onyx Storm, I thought the same thing about the map, but then I saw a clip of her saying they were initially looking at adding a new map in this one with the isle kingdoms on it but it was deemed too spoilery, so hopefully we get it in book 4

Ahaha ohhh it would be baaaad now 😂 but I also donate a lot of books I read and don’t love so it wouldn’t really be accurate :/ but I’ll think about it!🥰
My 2 fave reads from January were Final Girls by Mira Grant & Our Wives Under The Sea by Julia Armfield- 2 wild reads for different reasons. I read 7 books in total in Jan. I’ve done the same with lowering the pressure a bit, I read 75 last year and struggled toward the end. Lessened my goal to 50 this year which I feel is more attainable for me.
That’s great about your goal! I did the same thing, just enjoy what you’re reading 🥰 and that sounds like a great reading month!

My favourite read of january was the grace year. I was little worried, because i have heard so much negative thoughts about it, but when i saw it at library, i took it with me. And read it like so fast! I loved it. It was so weird and psykological, and kept me in that world whole time.

I’ve been reading TOG all of January too!! I’m on the last book, Kingdom of Ash!! I def recommend doing the tandem read for EOS and TOD! Every book gets better and better I swear!!
Oh my gosh you’re almost done!! And yeah? I haven’t been sure about the tandem read but I’ll think more about it, thank you!🥰 I’m gonna be so sad once the series done 😭
@ yes!! I was nervous about it because I’d never done a tandem before but I feel like I got so much more out of both books by doing it. And I feel like tower of dawn could have gotten a little boring at times without having empire of storms to go back to. Not gonna lie, it was challenging at times to keep going back and forth but I’m so glad I did it! Either way you decide is fine lol! Just my thoughts 🤗 I love your videos and you soo much ❤️

i'm still working through onyx storm, but i did hear people saying how confused they were. i didnt do a reread, but i really wasn't confused at all.. i do agree she threw around a lot of character names, but i felt like it was fairly easy to tell which ones you'd want to remember for later (maybe could have specified a bit better though). i'm about halfway and having a blast, things are starting to get intense but i am loving the deeper dive of characters and politics! it's just a fun time.
outside of that, i read the entire remnants of filth in january, which is a danmei series and it was very emotional and beautiful. 7 books long, so i didnt read anything else outside of that 🤣

Fun book fact for you I found out about recently: The first UK edition of the first Harry Potter book (not sure what it's called in Canada) had an illustration of a character on the back cover no one was sure who of, there was no indication who it was supposed to be and it didn't match any character description. The illustrator later confirmed it wasn't of anyone, the publishers had just asked him to draw a magical-looking person for the back cover.

If I could give one recommendation from the books I read in January, it would be The Favourites by Layne Fargo. One of my new top five favourite books.

Audiobooks on my stupid long commute and no friends 😂
I read 3 in a half books in January. The first of the year I read the third book in the A Good Girls guide to Murder, As Good as Dead and that was my favorite book out of that series. Then I read My Life with the Walter Boys by Ali Novak. Third book that I am still reading at the moment is A Season for Second Chances by Jenny Bayliss. I stopped reading that once I got Onyx Storm because I can't read more than one book at a time, so I had to read Onyx Storm because I didn't want to get spoiled on how the book went because while I was reading Iron Flame, I just had 10% left of the book and I was on Instagram and I saw someone post what happened at the end of so I wasn't shocked on the ending so this time I didn't want to get spoiled. I didn't So I am glad about that. I did really like and enjoy Onyx Storm and it's my favorite book out of the series and totally sucks we will be waiting a while for the fourth book to come out. So really, I only read 3 books in January.

@@HannabooASMR yeah the As Good As Dead book was not what I was expecting on how it went but made the book so good. I couldn’t put it down. I need to read more of Holly Jackson books. I am currently reading The Party by Natasha Preston she’s a YA author she writes thrillers.

I actually read Iron Flame for the first time in preparation for Onyx Storm and it was def my fave of the month!! Super excited to read Onyx Storm.... im waiting for my turn on Libby still 🥲
