- TV DX Moldova 1 Analogue TV 77.25 MHz C75 From Malta [E-Skip]. It was caught on 10/06/2021 at around 19:25 PM (UTC+2). It is a very weak E-Skip catch of Moldova 1 which is the first one for the season. Beam must have been very far away unless enhanced by tropo by SpE. In the beginning, it shows the 'Moldova In Direct' logo which makes it the channel itself. In 2021, it is very rare to encounter Analogue TV on VHF Band I because of the digital transition. It is caught from Straseni in Moldova with an unconfirmed power of 910 kW according to FMScan, which its TX is unknown and approximately 1,710 kilometres away. 73 😊

Moldova was the last country I received via analogue TV image when DXing in the E Skip season some years ago. Since then all I've had is TV audio from Moldova, Russia & maybe Ukraine. Thanks for keeping this one & 73.
Hello John, thanks for your comment :) Same here, this was my last SpE catch as I do not remember catching anything beyond 2022, although I may be lucky to get something off Eastern Ukraine but it is the maximum distance I can get via Es. Cheers buddy nice Sunday 73!

And it is from Strășeni village in Moldova, it isn't far from the capital of Chișinău
Tip: Make sure that the exact freq is 77 MHz and set it on SECAM

Hi my friend, great to see your catch from the past there!! This would have been a very strange awareness so many years after analogue closedowns everywhere? So the Moldavian people served by this TX are not hurrying to go digital. I sure hope you will get it again as I read the chances are good it will stay some more years?

Analog TV is gone in Moldova

Moldova will switch off analogue TV because analogue TV has no future.
Yes, there's a point that the signal will be cured (That's maybe in 2025)
Yet, they do have DVB-T2 but few people made the switchover, and there was many deadlines, but all of those has been canceled, so the majority will stay on the vintage analogue, but there will be a moment when it will be gone forever
Hi my friend, Moldova began its transition but at certain villages, Analogue TV is the most preferred, but a day might come that it is switched off :( Glad to get it before it switches off like the rest of channels that were on VHF Band I. Cheers 73!
