This is why you ALWAYS watch a demo by the Inspiration Engineer. Even if you know all of this, you still learn something. For me, I never thought to just play with the color balance in post to change the colors. I’d always just re-gel the lighting and take much more time. I’ve bought the Magic of Gels and shoot with gels from time to time, but it never occurred to me to just flip the colors with a slider or two. When I saw her do it, I just realized it's not cheating! It's just being smart! It’s not like I (you) didn’t light it in the first place.
This is insanely helpful for people who are into photography but do not have a high buget for taking any paid classes. Thank you so much for putting so much effort to explain every detail and also letting people worldwide have access to your amazing videos! Hope you will get the recognition you deserve asap.
This was amazing. She is one of the G.O.A.T'S at this. I've learned so much from this. Thank you for presenting this for us. I'll always shop Adorama and Adorama only from now on!
With the gelling three lights to let the mix and make white on the background, I guess it doesn't matter so much if it's not exactly right because if it's slightly off you can easily fix that in post. Just click the background and tell the software to make that thing white. There are lots of different shades of "white" light anyway.
little note.... never EVER balance your camera on your tether table with cable attached, unless you are fine with camera and lens bouncing on the ground. Tethering is fraught with trip over danger as it is... but this is even more so. Better place is actually on the ground, under the table, it cant fall from there. Or in your assistants hands. Or in its own box next to tether table, so it cant fall, or be kicked on the ground.
if you need really rich saturated color, gels need to be stacked... this goes back the additive color theory... you are actually trying to change white light, by only letting one color pass through the gel. So the more of that gel your have in front of the flash, the more it will cut out the other 2 colors the gel is not.

I’d like to see do a color mixing video using Rotolights instead of gels… all built in!
Great class. Thank you.
I work with pigments, making batches, and when things come out brown, it normally means you messed up. Kinda of ironic when you think about it lol

Are you using rgb because you are shooting flash. You are not taking perception into consideration? RYB?
where is your fog machine?
