My brother is also headed for a MS prison later this year for a death occurring from a dui. I started researching what it was like for people in both states jails and prisons then came across this channel. The info you and friends give on here has been invaluable to me it truly helps. Yeah some of it sounds very scary but I feel better somehow at least having an idea of what goes on inside. Thanks for all you do😊

And/or to not have anyone sending me money to buy food from the prison store. I could see this mentally breaking people down, very fast. Ft.Grant lol. My bro is there right now. He is in the fire crew. A phone is a escape charge in Az. I was on a 2 yard in Az. I have a 305 #. Az yards are all full of dope. You don't even have to leave your rack for drugs, people come to you. Its so muffed up because you have kids,18-25, going in on a weed charges and then they leave prison full blown heroin addicts. Its a drug dealers fucking dream. A compound with 500-1000 addicts that are paying 4-5 times street prices for dope. I heard that people go to a yard for a year or two just to go and sell dope on the yard cause the money is just to good. The US prison system is just a money making machine and all the private prison companies like GEO have a lot of pull within the state and federal government. Its such a fucked up system and it's creating so many drug addicts which leads to rehab centers and everything that comes with it. Its just about money and always will be.
I live in Phoenix and my son is in Yuma prison and I didn't know this is happening. He really doesn't tell me what's going on in there, he doesn't want me to worry, I worry everyday, I really don't understand why there doing this, hopefully it works out.
It seems to work better than expected where inmates give it a chance. Racial segregation and racial fear is the breeding ground for prison gangs,, so without the fear their power diminishes and the violence perpetrated does too. Some douchebags with vested interests will no doubt try to spoil things to preserve their power.

I'm also done time in Arizona starting back in 1989. During the years of me being there the prison went through lots of changes. And I mean lots of changes! When I first went in people walking around with guns and roses t-shirts Levi's and planning their boomboxes on the yard. Completely different world than it is now. I have some crazy times, and I have someone larious laugh. I've also seen some treacherous stuff. Anyway I'm glad to hear the Arizona's changing. Douglas has two separate yards - 3&4 yard (Mohave) & 2 yard (gila). Mohave is housing units with 30 cubes, 4ft high wall with your bunk and a military style trunk for your items. Gila is two 70ft trailers connected like the letter L with individual rooms with s door and pad lock! Little shelf and closet. I spent 18 months in Mohave then my last 4 in gila. Gila is zero race politics same as 3&4 yards. No interaction with any race period in any way shape or form. Anyway loving the channel brother!
In phx lockup jails , at LBJ"lower buckeye jail, towers, and Durango, you get fed 2 times a day . A ladmo bag at 5 am which has a loaf of bread, "small", peanut butter bag, a jelly, an apple or orange and a milk. At dinner you get a tray with" Slop" beans , pears in water, and cookie . Trust me when I tell you it's not enough. I was always starving.

when You sign the integration papers you can choose which race to live with. So whites agree to house with natives but the natives do not agree to house with whites so it’s a loop hole. They’ve signed and are integrated on paper but never house with each other. Some yards are full integrated like manzanita
In the morning at jail in ohio, usually every morning it's the same, hardboiled egg, thin peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a watered down "orange juice." We also had menthol and regular vape pens on commissary certain places for $15
I live in Safford, AZ. Ft Grant is actually roughly 30ish miles away from Safford on the opposite side of a big ass mountain. It's part of the “Safford complex” which includes 2 other yards actually in Safford itself. Ft Grant is definitely a wild yard. I know a couple of CO's who work/worked there and they've told me some messed up stories. Our whole law enforcement in this area is freaking horrible. About a year ago a girl was somehow able to slip her cuffs belly chain and ankle cuffs and jump out of a transport van and died. Look up Graham County Sheriff's Department and you'll find the story. It's CRAZY as hell. The girls name was Jordan Simms.

I was just down there and got out on the 3rd. It took 3 days to get through 4th ave. It sucked.

In the morning at jail in ohio, usually every morning it's the same, hardboiled egg, thin peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a watered down "orange juice." We also had menthol and regular vape pens on commissary certain places for $15
I live in Safford, AZ. Ft Grant is actually roughly 30ish miles away from Safford on the opposite side of a big ass mountain. It's part of the “Safford complex” which includes 2 other yards actually in Safford itself. Ft Grant is definitely a wild yard. I know a couple of CO's who work/worked there and they've told me some messed up stories. Our whole law enforcement in this area is freaking horrible. About a year ago a girl was somehow able to slip her cuffs belly chain and ankle cuffs and jump out of a transport van and died. Look up Graham County Sheriff's Department and you'll find the story. It's CRAZY as hell. The girls name was Jordan Simms.
