I'm Fran, I’m an Italian Cake Designer and I love to share my work online so that I can help people all over the world who has my same passion for cakes and cake toppers making.
First, I started playing around thanks to a book that I bought for a friend of mine during Christmas time, then I went to a college in Eastbourne (UK).
After coming back to Italy, I still try to attend as many workshops online and off-line, as I know that there is always room for improvement 💪🏻

P.S.: I never given the book back to my friend as I loved it too much, but I bought her another one

What size measurement is the cone?
This looks so fab😁 I really hope you or someone reading can help me. I've made some lovely cake toppers for friends and they want to keep them as ornaments so I'm looking for a good hard coating or varnish that will make them strong and durable as fondant or gumpaste is quite delicate. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance ☺️ 🎂
Hi Kelly 🤗 first of all the cake toppers needs to be kept away from sunlight and damp (regarding the humidity you might need to use some desiccant silica gel). This is something that I have been tried and it works really well with me. They normally last a couple of years.
I know that some people use hair lacquer, sprays used on acrylic paintings or PME clear glaze, but I have never tried myself.
However, they never have to be stored in the fridge or in an airtight container.

Your Mulan cake looks beautiful, Francesca, just like you, my pretty amica. I personally prefer the cartoon over the remake. I hope your Belle cake from Beauty and the Beast is accurate to the 1991 cartoon, you know with the gold dress and the gloves. What would be your reaction if you lived in a world of dolls?
