This is so emotional. Touched me on so many levels
I know you and I relate a lot, I was so drained after filming but to tell the story, you have to go back and relive it in a way ♥️ 💛 💙 💜 💚
I love listening to the evolution of Alisha. You don’t know how many lives you are touching by sharing your story. Yes to recording a Part 2!
I appreciate your story.... I’m 48 and just got diagnosed with Stargardts. I feel like a bomb hit me !! I’m looking for all kinds of answers and can’t seem to get any. I’ve fallen from high and very grateful for coming across your UA-cam video
Thank You Sergio from Montreal
🤍 thanks for sharing. I'm sorry that you've been diagnosed it's a hard thing to take in no matter what stage of life you're in. I hope you're managing. I'm glad you like the comment and I hope I can help you on your VI journey.
Dude what you said about grief never going away really hit home. Thank you for being honest and for telling your story, it’s really brave of you to do that. Good luck with everything!!!!!!!!
Thanks, life really shows you things and some of the things change you forever gotta keep our heads up. Happy my story connected with you🤍
Alisha, I rarely comment on YT videos, but this one deserves a comment. Firstly, thanks for sharing your story with us. It was an honor to listen to you. You are articulate, beautiful, brave, intelligent, witty and the list goes on. The most important thing, though, is that you are touching so many people with your story. We all have our crosses to bear in life and it's what we do with those crosses that makes all of the difference and you are using yours to do God's work for sure. Never stop sharing, because someone, somewhere needs to hear your testimony. And, of course, we want a Part 2. Have a blessed rest of your day.
well thanks for taking the time to comment! It's so true losing vision taught me that everyone has 'something' and connecting to yourself and your narrative helps you better connect to others or better let's people know their stores are meant to be told too
I forgot to mention that I appreciate you mentioning the aspect where you saw a Low Vision Specialist. They are so underrated, but highly needed for anyone who is legally blind. Also, many ophthalmologists never even refer patients out to them. This should be mandatory.
awww TYSM and yes low vision specialist and adaptive technology specialists are so essential aI wish they were more affordable and accessible though
Hi Alisha! I am from France, I'm 40 and a mother of two. I've been recently diagnosed with Stargardt disease but I'm waiting for my genetic results ton confirm it. My right eye is more damaged, I can still see normally thanks to my left eye and I hope my vision will remain stable for as long as possible. Discovering your channel has been very impactful and I love the positivity you demonstrate ! I have started to open myself to spirituality, positive energies and do a bit of yoga ! Thank you for being such an inspiration !
Great video Alisha definetly can relate to what you've been thru. You should do a collab/pod cast/chat room with other visually impaired/legally blind ppl from T.O telling there experiences would be a cool video.
You have been instrumental in helping me cope from the moment of diagnosis 5 yrs old. Thank you for sharing. It is as if you summarized my last 5 yrs as yell. Appreciate you.
Thank you so much. I love the way you keep it real. I don’t have stargardts but I do have nystagmus. I can relate to your story of acceptance of self. God will continue to bless you.
Thank you so much and thanks for sharing your diagnosis as well. Authenticity is gold
You are so inspiring! I have diabetic retinopathy and my vision has been getting worse and worse since I had my daughter. She'll be 3 on February 14th. She is such a little girlie girl. She's meant wants me to paint her nails all the time. They always look a hot mess like she did it herself but nope it was her blind momma trying to paint them! That's how I came upon your videos. You sound so much like her Aunt that we both love like crazy! Thank you for sharing your journey and being so positive! Keep doing what you're doing Hun! Much Love! ❤❤
happy you liked the video. Aww happy early birthday t your daughter. Thanks for sharing that with me 😊 Stay blessed.
Thanks Alisha for making this video. I'm going through the throes that you've already gone through with trying to find answers to my strange vision problems and getting depressed about it cos no doctor can diagnose me. For the past year and a half my vision has been slowly dimming as if someone is turning down the lights but it gets better and worse at random but overall gets worse. So it's hard to accept that it may not go back to how it once was and me being an artist too makes it especially hard to come to terms with that possibility...
be of good courage my friend. it's hard no doubt. Hopefully they can tell you want's going on to give you some 'clarity'. Until then and after then, stay strong
Thank you for sharing💕. (I was diagnosed at 8, but didn’t see the effects until I turned 32.)
November baby, Scorpios
