HI im so excited that you checked pentagon out !! The three members didnt actually renew their contracts, their contracts were paused and technically arent over due to the 2 years they were away for military. Hope this clears it out! For their group activities, they will still be under cube since some members are still under the company but the others have the flexibility to join the group activities even when under different companies! Honestly, they are a pretty self produced group, all of the songs you heard were composed by either Hui, Wooseok, Dawn and/or Kino except Feelin Like and Can You Feel It. They also decide the concepts themselves. Fun fact: Since debut until early 2017, cube gave them their title tracks but because it doesn't suit their musical direction, they made a powerpoint to cube to let them compose their own songs, that's why you feel a vibe shift over the years. Naughty Boy is inspired by a Korean folklore about a naughty frog! The lyrics are deeper and more intricate than you would think it is 😂 The pretty one with pink hair is Yanan! He is also the one that you said that had a pretty voice in Daisy
They competed on the show Road to Kingdom and there was a colab with ONF and Pentagon where they did a cover of Blackpink's Kill This Love, great one. Also they created and performed Basquiat for that show. Love that song. I think I love the song Runaway most

If you want to check more songs, I recommended : "Basquiat" and "Dr. Bebe" for darker concepts, "The Game" (kind of rock opera song), "Spring snow" and "Humph" for fun and happy songs," Like this" and "Runaway" (both mv and choregraphies are linked) and some ballads too like "When it rains in night" or "Someday". But all their songs are so so good, some of my favorite are also "Call my name", "Shower of rain" and "Beautiful goodbye". Also you can check their video on youtube channel "It's live" , they made lives and covers that are really great like "Lovesick girls" by Blackpink or "Not shy" by Itzy. I would also recommended some solo stuff like "Hmm Bop" by Hui, "Pose" by Kino or "Domino" by Wooseok.
Pentagon is very self made so A LOT of their music is made by them, I think that is one of the things that sets them apart from other groups!! Like imagine you have a mini album with 6 songs. 4 for sure are made by the pentagon members!!! So maybe that's why they can continue to be a group under cube and also make their own projects with other companys, since cube cannot take their own music made by them away! 😊💜

I couldn't help thinking of the award show where they had a giant frog puppet thing going around in the background of their performance interacting with the crowd and it looked low-key terrifying and high-key chaotic. I understand if you don't end up devoting more of your time to learning the members, but if you ever do, I highly recommend Pentagu's 2022 guide. The editing style is unique and it really highlights the bond between the members and their respect for one another. The same channel also has a video that explores Pentagon's timeline, which is also worth the watch if you want to understand their journey. Even though we might not get any group music for the foreseeable future, we're still getting solos, which is also exciting to see them explore their individuality. Kino recently released "Fashion Style." He also made a solo debut under Cube with "Pose." One of my favorites of his is "Poison" which he performed on It's Live. He worked with an indie label called Unordinary Sunday for this song. It has a jazzy rock vibe to it. Very cool. Hui just came out with a mini album called "Whu is Me: Complex", Wooseok is releasing a single towards the end of February called "Empty Paper" which I'm really looking forward to and Yuto has a single called "Dat Girl." pink hair in sha la la was yanan 41:00 the chinese member, while the sassy red hair was kino. Kino wasn't able to participate in the dance part tho he's the main dancer cuz he got injured that time so u only see his video randomly popping in the chorus, he's the pink hair in 'do or not' too. There were only 8 members during their last japanese album because Yanan was still in hiatus during that time, his latest participation with pentagon was during the Feelin Like promotion 1st quarter of 2022.
With Do or Not the lyrics are kind of a "I'm okay with rejection, just tell me if you like me or not, make up your mind so I can move on" thing, so in the end the girl stopped leading them on and rejected them so they're all feeling down before having to go on with life. Also the main attraction point in Daisy for me is the reversal of the lyrics, they use very similar sounding words to switch up the meaning in the last chorus (like "lie" and "don't go") so it's about someone who's lying to themselges about wishing misfortune on their past lover to later admit that they've gotten over their resentment and are happy to have been able to fall in love despite the hurting. Personally my favourite Pentagon songs are Violet and Basquiat, but I love all I've heard from them. I'm not up to date on the situation but that's mainly because I love them too much and I'll just get sadder if I stay informed, I've been a Universe (fandom name) for almost 7 years and all I want is for them to be able to keep doing music.
Ah, I forgot to mention something - yeah, Shinwon is afraid of animals in general because of a traumatic incident in which a pet hamster died when he was a child. He has a hard time even touching anyone's pets, and touched a cat FOR THE FIRST TIME a couple of months ago.
Oh in my case I love their slower songs too, their ballads stay, seasons or Violet are one of my fav but besides that, dr bebe, like this and basquiat which are more in their darker side are also my all time fav!! It's actually quite common now for 2nd and 3rd gen groups to sign under different companies and still continue as a group. Some lose the copyright for their names but some either win their lawsuit or just reach an agreement with their former company to keep their group name, or still do group activities under the old company. As long as the members still wanna do things, yeah. Also, since most of the members produced their own songs, it would definitely be a plus for them. Like btob has 2 members under a diff company but they are currently going on a world tour. VIXX too. Tho of course there would also be conflicts in schedules, especially for those with acting priorities. Anyway, Pentagon have been highly visible in each other's solo activities, i.e. almost all members attending one's solo concert. They're probably just waiting for the other three to get out of cube before getting a group comeback.

If you want something unique, then you should try Pentagon's b side "The game". Since Pentagon members produce their own songs, I guess they have rights for them. Jinho is having activities with his project group Crezl formed through Phantom singer 4. They released mv Forbidden love this month. Since Phantom singer is all about vocals, the vocals are outstanding. I recommend their performance Faith (Stevie Wonder ft Ariana Grande)
Until now Dawn has done anything wrong, was Hyuna who comfirm their relationship and both were kicked out of Cube for it. And many years has pass and we don't know him but there is not bullying scandals or harassment accusations.
So about their contract with Cube and other agencies is like Super Junior. Super Junior legally is under SM Entertainment but there are a few members who leave SM and join other agencies even build their own agencies. So the contract between SM for SM artist is done but their contract with SM as a Super Junior members is still going. So basically they're leave their agencies to another agencies to get solo job because usually yeah big company or their own group company is mistreating them (same thing happen with Pentagon members). So they only sign with SM under Super Junior and for their own self they choose other agencies and even sign contract, so basically they have 2 agencies. That's a same case with Pentagon, the member who left Cube isn't leave Pentagon cause they just not renewed their personal contract. But actually i think all of the members thinking to leave Cube and become independent (It's like iKon who left YG so basically iKon is not YG Group any more, but iKon only sign with one agency which is 143). I dont think Yanan will be coming back to the group ever again and with Yuto its kind of up in the air as not too long after his contract ended he blocked all of the members on instagram and headed back to Japan. Some of the members have talked about it a bit and said they were shocked and confused but they still support and love him and have even made birthday posts for him. Its definitely an interesting situation but Yuto has technically never stated that hes left pentagon and has also talked about the members on live wishing them well. There was actually quite a funny incident that happened last year where member Hongseok was asking fans where Yuto went live and fans were telling him that the link was on Yutos insta story but Hongseok couldnt see it
Also i think its pretty common for group members to go to different agencies. Its good for agencies to get already established members as they dont have to work as hard to create a fanbase therefore theyll be more willing to help and negotiate for members in their group activities if that makes sense. They are still kind of in limbo right now but its mostly just cause i think they want to focus on their solo stuff especially since some of the members never got many oppotunities whilst in Cube. Also with members coming in and out of the adamant that theyll be staying together

X1 are Unfortunately an old group now made by a survival game now the menbers are in many group and 1 solo artist Boy story are a boy group from jyp they aren't new as well 😊
Yeah those were on my list, I had about another 5-6 songs recommended including those two and it was already a super long video with more songs than I normally react to 😄 I can definitely do another video on them looking at those songs if people want that.
