You are right about the screw caps. Just get something in the gap and flip them up. Unscrew the two screws and gently lift the control panel and you will be able to remove the rest of the wrap.
@@bond008a9 That would've been ideal for the Street Fighter Evercade, for sure. But for the Mega Man machine, the stock buttons and sticks work nicely as all the games on it are fairly simple in terms of controls
Seems like a lot of quality and praise here, which I'm liking for the gameplay and utilization. The nitpicks are fair, I think. Sometimes it's the minor details like that for a collector base of which this stuff is geared towards.
@@DoYouNerd for their first outing in the home arcade market (which is funny considering their name is Ever"cade" lol), I'd say it's pretty near a homerun. Especially compared to the early days issues that Arcade1Up had. Seems Blaze learned from most of Arcade1Up's early day issues and was able to deliver a solid product. I'm actually sitting down here right now with tweezers trying to get that plastic wrap out of that blasted crevice lol
@@realnews7799 I'd say the Alpha controls are way better than Arcade1Up's first offering controls from back in 2019. They seem comparable to Super Street Fighter II Turbo & Marvel vs Capcom 2 A1Up's controls. That said, that is just going off of memory. I'll have to fire up the ol' SF2T sometime this weekend to compare
Can you link 2 cabinets together? This looks great but I'd want to play 2 player with my kids. I've seen you can connect a 2nd controller but that's a small screen to share
@@zajicapp from all the instructions I have, it doesn't seem to be an option to link two cabs together. It does have the ability to connect USB controllers for two players but one cool thing I discovered is that it doesn't necessarily have to be an Evercade branded controller

Mega Man games are too difficult for my liking Street Fighter Is also difficult but at least It's 2 player and more associated with Arcades I also have some Arcade carts I am a bit concerned about the size obviously for that money you aren't getting a full scale arcade cabinet but two people squeezed around a small screen one using a controller another possibly blocking the screen It would be amazing for single player games like lunar lander where you just have It sat In the corner and a relative can come over, add their high score or what ever the ability to add carts Is the selling point here
@@Caolan114 the good news about the Mega Man arcade games is that they are actually pretty easy. Agreed on the controller part. Cool option for those that want it, but I'll be keeping this a single player unit. The cartridge add-ons are such a fun part of this experience. I have since ordered two more carts to go with my Irem cartridge

I was watching outside for the UPS man all day until he arrived in the evening haha. And yup, there is a Street Fighter II variant available too. They should be fairly easy to find in the UK, as I believe Evercade is a UK company
@FeralInferno Lol. I'm the same when I have a new pair of sneakers coming. I had no idea evercade was from my side of the pond. I'd always been interested in grabbing one of their handhelds. Arcade 1up missed a trick not putting megaman arcade out. I'm glad evercade stepped up. Do you think they'll ever put it on a full size arcade?

The controls seem to be somewhere between Sanwa and A1up. They are definitely not so spongy.
