Powerhouse was a songwriting project initially started by Pat Buffo and moi; collaborators since 1998. We were in a dysfunctional but fairly high profile regional southern rock band that suffered from inertia, so we got busy by ourselves. Eventually other players gravitated to the situation.
Powerhouse was never meant to be a band, but eventually it took on its own identity and often out-booked its 'parent act'. Tensions rose in the band. I took my body of original work and quit them; and they went and recorded Powerhouse's songs under their name.
That's showbiz.
Buffo and I continued to work together all the way up to 2019. His contributions to the Great Beyond CD were immeasurable.
