I suggest any young person considering going to Europe spend several weeks cycling around Holland. Don't even waste your time in England which is the lazy American destination . They speak better English in Holland anyway (and you won't have to mess with UK's crappy money), and you can easily and safely cycle anywhere in the country. Utrecht is a good jumping off point. Don't waste much or any time in Amsterdam which has too many touristy distractions. You'll have an awakening to what's possible for the modern world.

Our first major protein consumption wasn’t from rats and rabbits, it was from clams and oysters and muscles. They too are not running away, like plants. And they too have no biological use for the sensation of pain because they have no capacity to take evasive action, so, these shell fish are conveniently very ethical as well. And these foods complete all the nutritional gaps that plants and land animals cannot fill (DHA, iodine, selenium, B12, et, etc, etc). It would be a human revolution to raise these shell fish somehow in a similar manner to the Dutch glass houses. The Netherlands is perfectly positioned for this - at sea level.

No, we are chase predators, we run our prey to exhaustion, we don't have to be faster than it, we just have to be able to track it which is why we have eyes in the front of our heads and keen visual object differentiation skills.

doesn´t change the fact, that eating primairly these large mammals is very unhealthy for humans, the best example for this are the arctic inuit whose dietary health improved with the indroduction of the standard american diet that is already known to be one of the worst diets on the planet, but still much better than only eating whales, seals and sometimes a little fish and algae.

Ok, his ideas about hunting are kind of bullshit. People have always hunted the larger animals in groups. Hunting smaller animals is a waste of time. Hunters in Africa still hunt gazelles for instance. I live in het Westland so I know how amazing the greenhouses can be. However, there are downsides as well. There is nothing natural about these mega factories.
And it's funny that he complains about cattle in the environment when cattle in nature reserves is a proven concept, and greenhouses do nothing for nature.

He has an agenda for sure. Im not so sure he could even catch bugs for himself to eat.

San people in africa(the original africans) only hunt for larger animals during the dry season when nothing else is available, they do it because they need to and for no other reason.
And nature conservation is best done by humans not doing anything to an area, preferably not even entering it, "active" nature preservation is more often then not doing more harm then good unless it is a very thought out minimalistic intervention to restart keystone species or habitats.
