Every time I hear this song, I picture myself on my motorcycle on a two lane, lonely desert highway, chasing the sunset west. Perfect driving/riding music.
I've just bought their M4 album, thanks to hearing Part 1 and 2 on UA-cam so many times (I'm a big fan of ME trilogy). I decided that I need bettrr quality and here I have it, thanks to the Internet :)
I have never had a song which could mean so much to me until i heard this song. Whenever i put this song on i go to such a peaceful, happy place. The thing which is really amazing about this, when i close my eyes i can't picture anything in my mind to go with the music which makes it that more amazing to me, how ny mind can't comprehend how beautiful this music is, this band and song are out of this world and as previous comments have said i will make sure i see them live before i die!
This stuff reminds me of my younger years, meeting that girl of your dreams, goin places, seein beautiful sights, just experiencing life, care free..how I wish I could re-live the days of my youth, and this tune at least helps me remember...nice stuff guys. 10/10
It feels like founding a treasure, what a gem. Such an underrated band, I think ME1 is the only game I sat entirely for the credits. Maybe MGS1 too for The Best is Yet to Come...
My thoughts exactly! M4 Part 1 on the cd is amazing, but this is just on a whole different level. Weird how different it sounds. I think this is better because the guitar riffs don't sound as muffled or muted as in the cd version, a bit more atmospheric and chilled.
StefansZZ I could be wrong, but I think the reason for this one sounding so incredibly different from the EP-version is because the one on there has all kinds of 'production-gloss', so to speak. Because it would've been recorded in a studio, then tampered with while mixing. Probably to achieve that blend between electronic and organic tones with the guitars. The live version is probably just more 'raw' with less effects and polish applied. The live version has it's own flavour though, its really chill.
Jesse Jones Well said, man! Yeah, I love songs like this that sound different live. Like Foals' 'Milk for Black Spiders' or Washed Out's 'Feel it All Around'!
@Praetorian032 Not a big Britney fan myself, but have you listened to her with your eyes closed? It's music for the ears. Don't let a popstar image fool you into thinking that's all there is. Ke$ha for example. Hate the way she spells her name, hate some the shallow things, but it all fits to her musical philosophy, which I have to respect. Now if you want to find shallow music, look towards anything that features the increasingly popular character you may have heard of: "Shawty"
I think that some of the most talented artists in the world are being sold by images. Some of the most talented lyricists in the world are being roped into the emo and punk scenes. Just listen to MCR or panic! at the disco or Rise Against. The most home hitting lyrics I've ever heard, but' each have tacky images to promote it. It's not just music either. The Dead or Alive game series has been known for being sold with sex for a long time, now, but the characters, story, and gameplay are great.
Believe it or not. Philosophies develop in all artists. For example, Eminem's musical philosophy is about setting a negative example and tearing it down. It also advocates the desire to "sell out" and says there is no shame in doing what you do for money. No one can tell you why you perform your art. He said that before, and that's why when he sold out, I couldn't fault him. I don't really listen to him, though. Ramstein's mission statement is "to make music people want to listen to."
I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite version of M4 Part I.
This still slaps 13 years later. Absolutely awesome performance.
M4 Part 2 was so epic, its a rare case where I actually watched the entire credits of anything; movie or game.
10 years late to this comment mate. I've NEVER listened to pt. 1
Damn it's good!
I miss Mass Effect and songs like these.
Every time I hear this song, I picture myself on my motorcycle on a two lane, lonely desert highway, chasing the sunset west. Perfect driving/riding music.
Fantastic song, thanks mass effect for make me discovering this wonderful band.
I remember this session when it came out. So epic! Great band. Thanks for keeping it alive ❤

My goal in life is to see these guys live.
It's even better live!
How is this even possible?
Why can't people ever find good music like this and instead go to MTV?
I have never had a song which could mean so much to me until i heard this song. Whenever i put this song on i go to such a peaceful, happy place. These guys make some awesome music.
I'm Commander Shepard and this is the best version of M4 on the Radio
You can listen to the entire session plus an interview here :[D podcast.cbc.ca/radio3/podcasts/sessions/CBCR3Sessions_2008-11-19.mp3
Thanks mate!

I prefer this to the original surprisingly.
M4 Pt 3? Still waiting for it to sound like the tune I love
@@paulavaughn9621 I would love to see them do an M4 Part III… maybe someday.
It feels, hmm, breezier. Like an early morning drive to the airport.
I can finally see the faces behind the band that made the ending of a certain game to mark my life forever since 2009
Wow, this was amazing! M4 I-II are easily in my top 10.
I agree The Faunts are very underrated and honestly if I hadn't of bought mass effect I would have missed out on such a great band
me too! I hope they tour in America!
How in the fuck is this band not pulling millions of views?
Oh God, Oh God Oh God! Many times better than the Cd edit! That stopped guitar makes me drool, those guy are one of the best post-2000 band ever.
There are lyrics in a lot of their other songs
I normally prefer stuff with lyrics but I love this
I always say, if the lyrics are the best thing about a track. it's not a very good track
Superb Music- these guys know what they're doing. Not nearly famous enough!!
This is absolutely Beautiful. I always wanted to know what it would sound like in a more Live setting. :D
this is better than original CD-Edit

that whole song is great but my favorite part is from 6:20 and on.. so melodic and ambient
Unfortunately, yes, this is the shit the country goes through with the popular musiks.
Brings a tear to my eye
que lastima que faunts nunca despego :(
@Tyferra i gotta agree on that one, if it were not because of bioware i would have never found these guys
i honestly like this one better
Ok thanks.

@antolus22 WAY better, this is awesome!
@Anonym0109 Kesha* has a philosophy?
* No, I’m not using the fucking dollar sign.
I've never heard the original, only part 2. And now I don't want to.
They dont find it at all dude. That's it...
unfortunately, yes.
The stupid VMAs the other day didn't have any real good music
