Thanks for the interview! It was very good and informative. As time goes by, I have a feeling that continues to grow stronger and stronger: we in the so-called West need a Japanese musical invasion (just like the Brits did it in the 60's) to get fresh blood :)
This was a real treat - bravo, Ryan, for pulling it off. I already loved this band, but after this interview I feel I know them all just a bit, and they seem super-cool, and super-thoughtful. Can't wait till the day I can see Saiseiga live.
Excellent interview Ryan! I think this format works well with the band getting the questions beforehand to allow more considered answers. Since falling down the rabbit hole of Japanese music when I discovered BAND-MAID (pigeon hole) in 2020 I can't get enough of of these awesome bands. SAISEIGA is a great band and I have tried to support them by purchasing all of their available music!
What a wonderful interview. Very well thought out questions as well as answers. The appreciation for foreign concert attendees is evident and I felt the appreciation a few weeks ago after attending a live house finale. The more insight we have into a band helps build a bond and possible lifetime fan. Thank you Ryan and Saiseiga!
Thank you Ryan. Great questions and very thoughtful answers. And you guys were great at your one man at Garret. I can't believe we got the circle pit going in such a small space. Thank you Katsuki and Regan for meeting me after the show. And it was great seeing you as you waited for your ride. I was at the Cyclone waiting to pick up my ticket for that night.
Thanks so much Ryan! I especially liked the story of how distortion/overdrive became an important part of the bass sound, and the general philosophy behind the band, like why they play this style of music and what they enjoy about it. I tend to underestimate how important watching these kinds of interviews are for getting prepared to listen to new music, and in this case I still need to listen to “Nostalgia” for the first time, so this video helps a lot!
Ryan told me about SAISEGA in June and I went to a live in September. It was great. This interview was so spot on and made me love this band more and more.
Great interview Ryan. All the members came over very well, I thought in particular Katsuki and Tohko were very articulate and eloquent. I remember when a lot of bands I followed in the 70s were inteviewed a lot of them came over as morons - monosylabic, chewing gum and possibly stoned
Dear Ryan, Did you already react to BAND-MAID - Dice & Hate? at Lollapalooza 2023, with optimized audio? Esp. "Hate" live is probably their best show ever.
@@RyanMear -- It's great that you do such interviews, thank you so much. The current interview I watched only a few minutes, as I'm no big fan of the band and found their answers at the beginning more or less banal.
What a great interview! They are on my list of must see bands. Hopefully I can go to Japan someday. Thanks Ryan and Saiseiga. 🤘👏

Great questions. They are some really cool folks. I love that musical routes of the band is kind of classical piano and jazz. 😄
I'm big fan of SAISEIGA! This video is super interesting and very helpful understanding their music.
Thank you!
Awesome Ryan. I really enjoyed that. Fun band. Great questions.

Yes, thank you! It was interesting that Katsuki-san hadn't put those thoughts into words yet
Great interview. Kinda thought you'd ask Regan for a flip off finger to end it lol😂

You can tell there have been good questions since it brought out things that they didn't knew from each other 🙌
Thank you!

You should've hired a professional translator. Many translations are wrong.
What do you charge?
Let me know what is wrong and I'll make a note of it

Um... Any comment about the interview??
