- After having delivered three massive open world action RPGs and after having attracted some criticisms over the bloated nature of its recent instalments - Mirage is set to do things right. With a focus on stealth and parkour, a single-city setting, a shorter and more condensed experience in a smaller open world, and a step away from the role-playing mechanics of its recent predecessors, the upcoming Mirage is looking like an exciting prospect for the interested audience.
Recently, we had the chance to see over an hour of gameplay footage from the action-adventure title, and with less than a month left until the game’s launch, here, we’re going to tell you about the most intriguing new details we’ve learned about it after our hands-off experience.
“In addition, the agile and nimble Basim can use lifts to instantly hoist himself up to rooftops, vault over objects, leap through windows and doorways, swing around corners and more” things that have literally been in the series since the 2nd game.
Yeah- this looks pretty similar to Valhalla, I wonder if all the female characters look just like dudes as they did in that one?
Vallhalla was perfect, if you wanted to fight like a viking you could, if you wanted to be assasin you could, man i love AC vallhalla

that's cause the combat is exactly the same as valhalla
The combat in Valhalla felt like a step backward from Origins and Odyssey. This video makes it look like Ubisoft didn't recognize that.

I'm looking forward to playing assassin's creed mirage. Thanks to assassin's creed origins & assassin's creed odyssey bringing me back to the franchise. I haven't played the previous ac games I stopped at ac3 I was tired of the franchise back then.🥂🤭
origins was the first one I actually played to completion and that led to me buying odyssey. haven't tried Valhalla yet

@@RockstarMazyI haven't played valhalla but from what I have heard it's good for the first 15 - 20 hours but then the story gets boring and gameplay repetitive but you do get to play as a assassin with a hidden blade which is better than Odyssey when U don't even play as an assassin
Looks like an absolute chore to play if you have played all the classic ac games, think il just watch videos of the story on here and wait to see if the next ones game play gets changed up

Ahhhh, Black Flag. Truly the best AC game ever made. I would even take a remake of that game today.
I am going to wait and see how this shakes out. They haven't ever really taken the lore and really pushed it in a solid direction. Lots of loose threads that just hang and are never picked up in a meaningful way. I have been a fan from the start but I am fed up. Valhalla felt like it never truly ended and I don't like that. I hope this game is more focussed. I hated the uncovering of targets and the way it was done in recent games. I have a feeling this will be same crap as usual, but I hope it turns out well.
I lost track of plot after Desmond died
Valhalla was the only AC I skipped (having played the original AC back when it came out) because I was sick of the level requirements for missions. But I bought Mirage in a heartbeat. For the first 15 min it really feels Ubisoft went with what we fans want. Baghdad is amazing so far and living in the middle east myself, the music and Arabic dialect made me enjoy the game like no other game recently. Story is okay so far I haven't had much time into it yet.

Well, that's what the old games were.
Why? It's not like the main story is any shorter, Odyssey and Valhalla had like ten hours of legitimate story progression and forty to fifty hours of nothing but filler. Mirage is 20 ish hours of pure story and 5-10 hours of side content.

Did you finish Valhalla? That game was 20 hours too long (I am not talking about sidequests, just the main story). There could have been 5 fewer kingdoms to infiltrate and it would have been a masterpiece; other then all the stupid WOKE fugly females in it. I swear if I see one more Warrior women leader (who NEVER existed in reality).
I like the setting and smaller scale, but not sure I like the toned-down RP elements. I'm on the fence here. Going to wait for reviews.
It’s looks good but the parkour will never be as good as unity. They really need to make the next game with that parkour mechanics

I want to be excited for this but it looks like something we have played so many times before.
the setting and graphics look like origins a little too much.Stealth in ac isnt so exciting imho either.I hope it is good but im sceptical.

Finally!!! I never finished Origins, Odyssey, or Valhalla. That open world crap was too overwhelming, and boring. Glad they are going back to the roots

@@stevelarocque69 The only good AC game was original. Rough around the edges and unfinished, but still game about assassination and the creed. Then they've introduced Ezio the Mary Sue batman... Just compare the trailers of the original AC and AC mirage. In the first one, the guy dispatches quickly guards directly in front, kills the target, and runs away. In Mirage, he reveals himself, fights a ton of guards, then chases the target half across the city... because it "looks cool"...
@@cocoscacao6102 I agree with you. I loved the first one. Well I loved the story about the creed. So when that story ended, the games got boring for me. (story side) So in mirage, the story will be about the creed. Which is 1 of my most anticipated things I'm excited about.
Gameplay has always been the same for me. Run around, do missions, unlock stuff. In a nut shell. So i don't feel like mirage will be bad on that end.
I'll wait to see if it comes on Gamepass....
I personally never liked Classic AC games except AC3. Odyssey is by far my favorite AC game.... I'll get this at a discount

Heres the problem, ppl love the rpg open world AC games what ppl are meaning when they say "we want the old school feel back" they mean we wanna be an assassin! All the new g!mes you barely have anything to do with the hidden ones. They kept remaking the same game over and over so we needed the rpg games like origin because the series was dying before origins. This is what they need to do, make a chinese/japanese based game where your like a ninja or samuarai, kind of like ghost of tsushima, have it be open world, rpg mechanics but add better stealth and make the main character an actual assassin. When ppl say we want the old we dont me a remake of the old ass games from xbox 360 era, we mean we wanna be a freaking assassin not just some random dude. Origins was amazing, odyssey i didnt like but it looked beautiful and valhalla at least had the hidden blade but it was still to disconnected from the series. I really hope that ubisoft ubderstands this and doesnt keep remaking because remaking the original games isnt what ppl want we got burnt out on those games they need to combined the old and new ones together.
I'm looking forward to this, I'm just hoping they added something more unique than the same old same as the previous titles. Don't get me wrong, I loved Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla, but doing the same thing over and over gets old. I'm not as excited for this title as I was for Valhalla.

Assassin’s Creed hasn’t had unique side missions since AC:Brotherhood.
Noone wants a smaller world with lesd to explore... unless the the price is only $30-$40... 20-30 hours doesn't justify $60-$100
The combat needs to be improved before anything. A more realistic approach would be better instead of all these gimmicks. Assassin missions should be the core and hit man like. Instead it’s become halfassed everywhere and a confusing soap opera.
Not gonna get for exactly that reason it looks like they built a raggedy city and just put Origins in it

I tried to like the game, but I really hate hiding, and on top of I have to hide and use weak ass swords. This just makes no sense. At least the weapons should have been powerful, one hit must make the opponent bleed or at the least, bounce back with pain. In this game I can slide, and slice, and slice and nothing happens. It just sucks... I tried to play it, got everything, bought everything, but it is just a weak ass game for me...
It looks great I'm just afraid imma get bored of it quickly because it isn't as big as Oringins or Odyssey. I already feels like it needs to be bigger!!!!

Kind of hard to be impressed with all these features in Mirage which we have seen before up to over 15 years ago in older AC games. This guy is talking like it's all revolutionary stuff we have never seen before.
Got zero interest in what made the AC series stale to begin with so I'll be sitting this one out but I hope the people interested enjoy themselves.

Your presentation is very nice. A+ to your salesmanship. But taken in retrospect, it seems like this game is very barebones. And not just in comparison. I hope that it has side missions with meaningful narrative, but it seems like it's more about doing main missions or doing the same two missions, just different locations.
Also, the parkour animations are identical to Odyssey, which people criticised at the time.
I liked Origins and Odyssey to be honest but Valhalla did for me so I’m on the fence with this. That game just did not click with me at all. I’ll wait it out till it reaches PS Premium (I’ve two years left - surely it’ll turn up there in that time!).

Im really tired of paying for redues smh, from sports gaming to rpg open world games. Maybe my vidoe game life span is almost over or gaming as a whole has gotten worse the older ive gotten and my expectations grew . games arent as entertaining alot are cheap copies of other games.
