I can’t explain enough how much I loved these gentle-giants. It was my absolute favourite dinosaur growing up as a child and my favourite till’ this day. Glad to see the recognition it’s getting!

In terms of behavio, a Parasaurolophus probably fitted the niche of most larger ungulates such as Horses or Gemsbok. Though, these dinosaurs may look relatively harmless and timid, but there is no reason not to assume Parasaurs like most hadrosaurs were always defenseless against their carnivorous counterparts. Their immense size, hooves, and sturdy tail would be defensive weapons against some wise guy theropod trying to rope-a-dope its prey.

Parasaurolophus' popularity preexists in media before the creation of Steven Speilberg's _Jurassic Park_ basically for that renowned tube-like crest. Although, you'd find its depictions captured in illustrated books, it was rendered to mostly a background dinosaur in most stop-motion documentaries and other animated shows across the 1960's-1980's, such as Gumby, The Flintstones, Dino-Riders, Jim Henson's Dinosaurs, Dinotopia, and The Land Before Time (Note: Ducky is not of this species.) Even though it's roles were side-cast in most of Jurassic Park/World films, it's most prolithic role that solidifies the Para's arrival was in The Lost World's Round-Up sequence--you even used a screenshot of Elvis as your video thumbnail.
