This is my personal favorite volume that Shout has Released. So many shapes classics. Shaolin Prince, Super Ninjas and Shaolin Intruders are Standouts. Killer Army is Amazing as well. I need this ASAP !! Great content as usual Mate 🥋🐉👍🐲👊☯️👏‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
@invincibleasiaofficial When are we getting the updated new studio room tour? The VHS in the background look 👏 Amazing. I need to step my shelf game up for sure.
We’re so lucky to be living in a time where so much great media coming out. When thinking about the price, it may seem high at first. However, thinking back for what I paid for 1 VHS back in day( if you could find them) it’s a steal.
I think it's a really strong set, slightly let down by some sloppy prints (4 films or so) it is very Chang Cheh heavy and like yourself I already had the 88 films version of the Venom mob movies. The big draw for me was the 3 films from Tang Chia, all of them are superb, oh and Holy flame of the martial world. I loved The black lizard, like yourself I prefer Chor Yuen films over Chang Cheh, I think he is an under appreciated and represented director. Shawscope and 88 didn't put out a single film by him and he was Shaw second most prolific director of kung fu /wuxia films. I may have told you this already but Shout have confirmed this is the last set they will be putting out. The baton is back with Arrow to release Shawscope volume 3 and 4, which I believe they are contracted to do.
Yeah, I was quite surprised 88 and Arrow didn't touch on any of Chor's classics. Maybe in the future? I think you did tell me this was Shout's last, but I'm going to fire out a 'Box 5' for their attention in the hope that we see one more someday soon lol Thanks for watching!!
@@Dan.DeBlasio I really hope so, there was an awful lot of love that went into their Shaw releases. They dis focus on Lau Kar-leung and Ho meng hua, so it would be fantastic if they gave similar love to Chor Yuen and Sun Chung as well.
@@invincibleasiaofficial I did hear Arrow might be focusing on Chor Yuen. Man it would be superb if Shout did release more sets, my favourite era for Shaw films is the 80's, they were so creative then, just mashing up genres to see what stuck. I am excited to hear your thoughts tomorrow George.
