This channel is really getting me back into the hobby. When I left, there was talk of a radio that wouldnt needs crystals.
One guy started flying balsa planes with battery power.
The rest of us were thinking that's not going to go anywhere. We were nitro fuel all the way. Lol

I've went head over hills into this hobby and I admit I fell for the hype of the radiomaster tx16s because everybody and their mother is always hyping it up and how amazing it is. I will say it is a very nice radio and has a lot of features for the price point but I can honestly say I hated setting it up and I dreaded setting up planes or anything with it. I finally said screw it and bit the bullet and went all in for a IX14 and I absolutely love it and how easy it is to learn and use. Everything is layed out in the UI so nice and for me it was soo soo much easier to program and set up especially because everything was done on the radio it self and I didn't have to start going around and downloading files and rounding up this and that and then having to load it on the radio just to get everything working and up to date. I'll finish this off by saying that I'm not hating on the radiomaster by no means because it really is a nice radio and is packed full of features but I just could not get on board with edge tx or the radio it self just never felt comfortable in my hands. For me flying is supposed to be fun and that it includes doing the radio setup and tweaking things out but I just could never get into with the radiomaster like I can now with IX14 and this channel is my go to place for finding out the truth about new planes and if their worth my time and money or not because I know I can count on honesty from Brian and camera crew and not the over hyped crap that everything is amazing that comes from the dark corners of youtube

spektrum's whole reason for existence (besides their distribution empire) is the "ease" of programming mixes... and I get that. Also, you're flying LOS and only getting so far away from yourself. That said..... ELRS' LORA modulation is next-gen by comparison to spek, futaba, frsky, etc.... THAT said, I wouldn't know how to program any mix into my EdgeTX TX. Most of us are flying fpv quads and wings with flight controllers where all the mixing happens and don't need to mess with the TX at all.
When I go to fly my HH planes or helis - I grab my ol' DX18.

Probably. Sometimes we have bad days too. Megan is the love of my life, but we've been together for over 20 years, and if you've been married for any length of time, you'll know it's not always sunshine and roses, but we're committed to each other, and have been working together for almost a decade doing this. It CAN be hard, but we usually get it done in good spirits, and come back to good terms quick. Usually insane deadlines are what lead to difficulties, and we're always up against some arbitrary, idiotic timeline.
Hope this makes sense.
