- INGREDIENTS
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
2 tsp cayenne pepper
2 tsp paprika powder
1 tsp allspice
2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp pepper flakes
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp thyme
1 tbsp parsley
We don’t really use cumin or parsley, rarely onion powder, but I have no doubt this will taste great regardless. Lovely
%100 👍🏻
This is not jerk season.
We dont put white sugar ,cumin.
I tried adding the cumin. It tasted even better.
Cumin and sugar are just fine. The sugar caramelises and gives it balance, so the meat tastes even better. Great recipe. I shall certainly try this. Thanks.
Was looking for power version only thank u
Thank u
Where’s the scotch bonnet pepper?
This is the dry rub recipe, you add the the pepper in the marinade with the dry rub 👍
Mr Skewer got u
Where’s the scotch bonnet pepper? I’m afraid this is not Jamaican jerk seasoning at all.
i use scotch bonnet pepper in mine i dry the peppers out myself and chop them into flakes and powder
@@BigJ_Eats Very impressive 👏 wish I had the patience,,

Awesome, I loved how you got right to it and then left the list of ingredients so we didn’t have to click on some link and get a bunch of ads ❤️❤️❤️
Ive been looking for hours on here for ingredients for a dry rub. Its taken hours because of everyone wanting to talk to themselves. Thank you for getting to it. I just subscribed because of that. Ive got 5 lists of ingredients and will do an average of them all.
🙏😊
@@mrskewer964 I took the average from all because I had the ingredients. I went back and changed a few things to put in less of 3 items and more salt. My roomy tasted it and gave his 2 cents and I agreed. I know it smelled good. Had a nice slow burn. I also looked up some dip for it afterthought... then made that and its in the fridge waiting for round 2 tomorrow. yum.
I'm sure it's gonna taste great 👍
@@mrskewer964 I think the dip will also. It had a nice tang and after it marinades in itself all night it will go nicely with the slow, savory-sweet, and salty burn of the Jerk.
Thank you for the blend!!! Bout to make some jerk tacos! Also, I used brown sugar instead of white
More powders than I ever remember using in jerk but hey....
FRESH ingredients and FIRE my friend my goodness
White sugar brown will be better
Liking this one! Got it saved, I'm thinking rotisserie wings baby! Lol, thanks for sharing brother, stay safe!👍
Yes it goes well with chicken.
You stay safe as well.
Well I tried your recipe with some of our own fresh and clean spices and the outcome…Amazing. Thank you 😊
Thank you for the recipe. Great video straight to the point.
Very nice 👍 great look delicious jar 🏺 thanx for sharing
Very solid jerk seasoning, even without any scotch bonnet it’s nice and spicy.
that's like a cajun/creole thing with a slight turn
Thx it helped my mom with her food
😝😝
What so funny
When i searched for Jerk recipes, 3 options where over 15 min long.
Guess which one I chose? "Perfect" in all aspects.
Thank you for your candor !
Uuummmm sir or mam where is the main ingredient GINGER 🤦🏿♀️
Another bastardisation of an authentic recipe. Sigh!
How do I turn this into a sauce? Just add water? Can you please suggest?
Jamaican man here. This isn't a dry jerk rub. LMAO
If it's not can you offer one Mark? I'd love to try it.

@@MEHtheshow How hard is it for you to research the source instead of asking redundant questions.
@@duttytuff do you choose to be a arsehole on the internet because it makes you feel ard or is it cus your Mrs bullies you
@@MEHtheshow I don't know.

What is then
@@MEHtheshow You must ask the poster that question. Several ingredients not traditional and missing a key ingredient.
Reading some comments that this is not jerk seasoning. I really don't care because it made my dish great. Thanks for "your" version of what "you" call jerk seasoning. It was delicious. I added brown sugar instead of white.
